The Domus SENSOR-REC-01 is a recessed 360° PIR occupancy sensor — 240 V AC, 0.5 W, switching up to 300 W of LED load, with a 12 m detection radius and a 30° adjustable tilt.
⭐ It is not a limitation so much as a budget. ⭐ At 10 W per downlight, 300 W is around thirty fittings; at 20 W per batten it is fifteen. ⚠ THE TRAP IS INRUSH, NOT STEADY LOAD. ⭐ LED drivers draw a brief, very high current at switch-on, and a relay rated for 300 W of steady LED can still be damaged by thirty drivers all starting at once. ⭐ If the circuit is near the limit, stage it across two sensors or use a contactor. ⭐ Tell us the fitting count and we will say whether it is comfortable.

⭐ Most 360° sensors sit flush and look straight down. ⭐ This one recesses like a small downlight and its eyeball tilts through 30° — ⭐ so it can be aimed along a corridor, at a doorway, or away from a heat source that would otherwise trigger it. ⭐ Aiming away from an air-conditioning outlet, a heater or a west-facing window is the single most effective fix for nuisance triggering, and a fixed sensor cannot do it. ⭐ An optional lens curtain masks part of the field for the same purpose.

The 300 W figure on its record is the load it can switch, not its own consumption, and the two answer different questions: 0.5 W is what the sensor costs to run, about 4.4 kWh a year running continuously; 300 W is how much lighting it can control. The field took the switching capacity as the consumption, a 600-fold overstatement.

It does also publish bulb_type = "Built-in LED", which a sensor has no business carrying; four of the 26 do that.

Below 24 degrees, yes. The range is explicitly qualified that way, because PIR works by detecting a temperature difference between a body and its background — a warm room reduces that contrast and the range falls. In an Australian summer ceiling space, plan on less than 12 metres.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
You must lodge a return request via the below request form.
Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
