The Domus PLEX-VIVID IP67 is a 24 V single-colour COB LED strip — 15 W per metre, 640 LEDs per metre, IP67, 1 m, in Vivid Red, Blue, Green or Yellow.
| Colour | IP54 | IP67 | ⭐ Loss |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vivid Red | 105 | 89 | ⭐ −15.2% |
| Vivid Blue | 270 | 230 | ⭐ −14.8% |
| Vivid Green | 1,650 | 1,400 | ⭐ −15.2% |
| Vivid Yellow | 1,200 | 1,020 | ⭐ −15.0% |
⭐ Even after the coating, Green is 1,400 lm per metre and Red is 89 — ⭐ a 15.7× spread between variants of one product at one wattage and one price. ⭐ Part of that is the eye's own sensitivity curve, which peaks in the green; the rest is that deep-red emitters are less efficient and droop harder as they warm. ⭐ If a wet-area feature is designed around red, expect a quiet atmospheric effect and plan accordingly.
⭐ Pool surrounds, spa edges, water features, external bar fronts, planters. ⭐ These are exactly the positions where saturated colour is wanted and where water arrives with force, ⭐ and a dotless coloured line reflected in water is a strong effect. ⚠ What to plan for: the run limit is 5 m from one end and 10 m from two, so a long poolside is several runs, ⭐ and every cut and termination opens the coating. ⭐ None of the range's connectors is rated above IP20, so those points must sit somewhere dry.
⭐ The sheet requires it in capitals and voids the warranty without it. ⭐ At 15 W per metre under a silicon coating that is also a thermal blanket, this is among the least marginal cases in the range — ⭐ the aluminium is the only path the heat has. ⛔ No description says so and none of the catalogue's 47 profiles names this strip.

Single-colour COB LED strip, IP67 silicon coated, 1 m. 15 W per metre at 24 V DC. Vivid Red 89 lm/m, Blue 230, Green 1,400, Yellow 1,020. 640 LEDs per metre, dotless. 180° beam. 25 mm cutting increment. Continuous run 5 m one-end, 10 m two-end. Aluminium heat sink mandatory. 3-year warranty. ⭐⭐ THIS PRODUCT SETTLED A QUESTION ABOUT THE WHOLE RANGE. We had measured a 15% IP67 penalty on white strips; the open question was whether that is the silicon coating or something product-specific. HERE THE COATING COSTS THE SAME 15% ON ALL FOUR COLOURS — deep red at 630 nm to blue at 470 nm, right across the visible spectrum. A coating that absorbed selectively would show a different figure at each wavelength. ⭐ Across the programme that is now 23 pairs in four families, mean −15.4%.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
About 15%, and this product is where we proved it is the coating rather than anything product-specific. Vivid Red goes 105 to 89, Blue 270 to 230, Green 1,650 to 1,400 and Yellow 1,200 to 1,020 — losses of 15.2, 14.8, 15.2 and 15.0%.
Because the same 15% applies from deep red at 630nm to blue at 470nm, right across the visible spectrum. A coating that absorbed selectively would show a different figure at each wavelength. This one does not. Across the programme we have now measured 23 pairs in four product families, spanning COB and SMD chips and both whites and colours, with a mean of −15.4% and very little spread.
No — Green is 1,400 lumens per metre and Red is 89, a 15.7x spread between variants of one product at one wattage and one price. Part of that is the eye's sensitivity curve, which peaks in the green; the rest is that deep-red emitters are less efficient and droop harder as they warm.
Pool surrounds, spa edges, water features, external bar fronts, planters — exactly the positions where saturated colour is wanted and where water arrives with force. A dotless coloured line reflected in water is a strong effect.
The run limit is 5 metres from one end and 10 from two, so a long poolside is several runs — and every cut and termination opens the silicon coating. None of the range's connectors is rated above IP20, so those points must sit somewhere dry. Plan the feed positions before the paving goes down.
A quiet, deep, atmospheric effect rather than a bright one — 89 lumens per metre against green's 1,400. That is often exactly what a red water feature wants. If it needs to be brighter, plan more strip, a closer mounting, or a pale surface for it to wash.
Because at 15W per metre under a silicon coating that is also a thermal blanket, this is among the least marginal cases in the range — the aluminium is the only path the heat has. The sheet requires it in capitals and voids the warranty without it, and none of the catalogue's 47 profiles names this strip.
