A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
The Domus PLEX-SMD-9 is a 24 V SMD LED strip — 9 W per metre, 120 LEDs per metre, CRI ≥90, IP54, 1 m, at 765 / 810 / 855 lm per metre.
⭐ This strip cuts every 25 mm; the PLEX-SMD-5 cuts every 100 mm. ⭐ That is a genuine practical difference that has nothing to do with light output. ⚠ A 1,340 mm shelf takes a 1,325 mm length of this strip and a 1,300 mm length of the other — ⭐ a 40 mm dark gap instead of a 15 mm one. ⭐ On joinery with fixed dimensions, the finer increment is worth more than the longer run.
⭐ Slightly behind the 5 W SMD strip's 100 to 110, ⭐ which is the usual pattern: driving a chip harder costs efficiency. ⭐ Against the COB strips at the same CRI it is comparable. ⭐ The reason to choose this one is the combination of a long run, a fine cutting increment and real output — ⭐ not efficiency, where the lower-wattage strip wins.
⭐ The sheet states it in capitals and voids the warranty without it. ⭐ Twenty metres of run means twenty metres of profile. ⛔ No description says so and none of the catalogue's 47 profiles names this strip. ⭐ Ask us to quote both together.

SMD LED strip, IP54, 1 m. 9 W per metre at 24 V DC. 765 lm at 3000 K, 810 at 4000 K, 855 at 5000 K. 120 LEDs per metre. CRI ≥90. 120° beam. 25 mm cutting increment. Continuous run 20 m one-end feed, 40 m two-end. Aluminium heat sink mandatory. 3-year warranty. ⭐ THE MIDDLE OF AN HONEST LADDER: 55% more light than the 40 m strip, for half the run. ⭐ AND ITS CUTTING INCREMENT IS FOUR TIMES FINER — 25 mm against 100 — which on joinery with fixed dimensions is worth more than the longer run: a 1,340 mm shelf leaves a 15 mm dark gap here and a 40 mm one on the SMD-5. ⚠ THE RECORD HOLDS TWO DATASHEETS and the IP67 one is flagged contradicted; everything here comes from the verified IP54 sheet.

More light, shorter run — an honest ladder. This gives 765 to 855 lumens per metre against the PLEX-SMD-5's 500 to 550, about 55% more, and runs 20 metres per feed against 40. Both are SMD and neither is dotless, but 120 LEDs per metre is meaningfully tighter than 70.
If the run is very long and concealed, the SMD-5. If you need real output over a long run, or the length has to meet a joinery dimension, this one. The cutting increment is often the deciding factor rather than the run length.
Because it sets how closely the strip can match a fixed length. This cuts every 25mm and the PLEX-SMD-5 every 100mm, so a 1,340mm shelf takes a 1,325mm length here and a 1,300mm one there — a 15mm dark gap instead of a 40mm one. On joinery that is a visible difference and it has nothing to do with light output.
85 to 95 lumens per watt at CRI ≥90 — slightly behind the 5W SMD strip's 100 to 110, which is the usual pattern: driving a chip harder costs efficiency. Against the COB strips at the same CRI it is comparable. Choose this one for the combination of run length, fine increment and output, not for efficiency.
Yes, but we would not quote its figures from the sheet. This record holds two datasheets and only the IP54 one is verified against the product; the IP67 sheet attached alongside is flagged as contradicted. Ask us and we will confirm the IP67 figures directly with Domus rather than reading them off a sheet we know is mismatched.
Indoor including wet areas — kitchens, bathrooms, laundries. Steam and splashing, not hosing or an outdoor position. For outdoors in this family, the PLEX-SMD-5 is IP66 and rated for it.
Yes. The sheet states the requirement in capitals and voids the warranty without it, so twenty metres of run means twenty metres of profile. No description says so and none of the catalogue's 47 profiles names this strip. Ask us to quote both together.
