The Domus PLEX-RGBTW is a 24 V COB LED strip — 21 W per metre, 840 LEDs per metre, IP67, 50 m pack, combining RGB colour with tuneable white.

⭐⭐ Five constraints arrive together, and they compound

• ⭐⭐ FOURTEEN OPENINGS IN A WATERPROOF COATING, EACH TERMINATED WITH CONNECTORS RATED NO HIGHER THAN IP20. ⭐ Every one has to end up somewhere dry. ⚠ And RGBTW terminations carry five or six conductors rather than two, so they are physically larger and harder to conceal than a white strip's.
• ⭐ SO THIS IS NOT A PRODUCT TO ORDER FIFTY METRES OF WITHOUT A PLAN. ⭐ Tell us the runs, the control scheme and where the wet zones actually are, and we will work out whether the answer is this, a shorter length of it, or a mix.

⭐ When it is genuinely the right answer

⭐ There is a real case for it: a pool surround, a spa, an outdoor bar, a commercial wet area that wants colour. ⭐ Nothing else in the range combines a dotless line, high-rendering tuneable white, saturated colour and an IP67 seal. ⭐ If that is the brief, this is the product — ⭐ and the constraints above are simply what it costs. ⚠ What it should not be is the default choice for fifty metres of general lighting.

⭐ Five runs might be an advantage rather than a cost

⭐ A 10 m run limit forces five separate feeds, and each feed is a natural control zone. ⭐ On a venue that wants the bar, the terrace and the pool edge behaving independently, that fragmentation is exactly what you would have designed anyway. ⭐ The equipment count is the same either way; the question is only whether the zone boundaries land where you want them. ⭐ Plan the runs around the zones rather than the other way round.

⚠ And the blue channel is quiet

⭐ The verified sheet for the 1 m IP67 version gives green 260 lm per metre and blue 55 — ⭐ a factor of 4.7. ⭐ That is the eye's sensitivity curve, not a defect, and it applies to every RGB product. ⚠ Around water, where blue is the obvious choice, it is worth knowing that the blue scene will be the quietest one the installation produces. ⭐ Pale, reflective surfaces help; more strip helps; expecting a green-level intensity from blue does not.
