The Domus PLEX-RGBTW is a 24 V COB LED strip — 21 W per metre, 840 LEDs per metre, CRI ≥90 on white, IP67, 1 m, combining RGB colour with tuneable white.

⭐⭐ It publishes lumens per colour channel — which is rare, and revealing

• ⭐ THE RATIOS ARE PHYSIOLOGY, NOT A DEFECT. ⭐ The lumen is defined against the human eye's sensitivity curve, which peaks in the green near 555 nm and falls away steeply toward both red and blue. ⭐ A blue LED radiating the same POWER as a green one measures far fewer LUMENS, because the eye simply sees less of it.
• ⭐⭐ THE PRACTICAL CONSEQUENCE, AND IT IS WORTH KNOWING BEFORE YOU COMMIT: A DEEP BLUE SCENE WILL LOOK DRAMATICALLY DIMMER THAN A GREEN ONE. ⚠ Roughly a fifth as bright. ⭐ That is true of every RGB product ever made, but almost none publishes the figures that let you anticipate it.
• ⭐ SO IF THE SCHEME DEPENDS ON BLUE — a pool surround, a bar front, a brand colour — plan for it. ⭐ Either accept a quieter effect, or use more strip, or place it where the surface it washes is pale and reflective.
• ⭐ All three lit together give 425 lm per metre, ⭐ and the white channel adds 285 to 325 on its own.

⭐ RGB plus tuneable white is a different thing from RGB alone

⭐ A plain RGB strip makes white by mixing all three channels, and that white is poor — it has spikes where the three LEDs sit and gaps between them, so skin and timber look wrong. ⭐ This strip carries a separate white channel with CRI ≥90, tuneable in temperature. ⭐ So it does the two jobs properly instead of one badly: real, high-rendering white for everyday use, and saturated colour when it is wanted. ⭐ For a kitchen, a bar or a living space that occasionally wants colour, that distinction is the whole argument for the product.

⭐ 21 W per metre — the highest load in the strip range

• ⭐ Four channels at once means 21 W per metre, ⭐ above even the PLEX-COB-20. ⭐ A 5 m run is 105 W.
• ⭐ Continuous run is 5 m from one end, 10 m from two — ⭐ the dense 840-LED board leaves little room for copper, and that is what sets the limit.
• ⚠ AND THE DRIVER IS NOT THE ONLY BOX YOU NEED. ⭐ RGBTW needs a controller as well — the sheet says “for dimming options please refer to the controller section”. ⛔ Neither is included and neither is mentioned on this page. ⭐ Tell us how you want to control it — wall plate, app, DMX — and we will match the controller to the driver.

⭐ 35.7 mm cutting increment — an unusual number with a reason

⭐ It is 1,000 ÷ 28: the strip divides into 28 addressable sections per metre. ⭐ Four channels have to stay in step, so the repeating unit is larger than on a single-colour strip. ⚠ Practically, lengths round to about 3.6 cm — ⭐ finer than the SMD strips, coarser than PLEX-COB's 25 mm.
