A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
The Domus PLEX-RGBTW is a 24 V COB LED strip — 21 W per metre, 840 LEDs per metre, CRI ≥90 on white, IP67, 1 m, combining RGB colour with tuneable white.
| Channel | lm per metre | ⭐ Against blue |
|---|---|---|
| Red | 110 | ⭐ 2.0× |
| ⭐ Green | ⭐ 260 | ⭐ 4.7× |
| Blue | ⭐ 55 | 1.0× |
| ⭐ White (tuneable) | ⭐ 285–325 | — |
⭐ A plain RGB strip makes white by mixing all three channels, and that white is poor — it has spikes where the three LEDs sit and gaps between them, so skin and timber look wrong. ⭐ This strip carries a separate white channel with CRI ≥90, tuneable in temperature. ⭐ So it does the two jobs properly instead of one badly: real, high-rendering white for everyday use, and saturated colour when it is wanted. ⭐ For a kitchen, a bar or a living space that occasionally wants colour, that distinction is the whole argument for the product.
⭐ It is 1,000 ÷ 28: the strip divides into 28 addressable sections per metre. ⭐ Four channels have to stay in step, so the repeating unit is larger than on a single-colour strip. ⚠ Practically, lengths round to about 3.6 cm — ⭐ finer than the SMD strips, coarser than PLEX-COB's 25 mm.

RGBTW COB LED strip, IP67, 1 m. 21 W per metre at 24 V DC. Red 110, Green 260, Blue 55 lm per metre; white channel 285–325 lm per metre, tuneable, CRI ≥90. 840 LEDs per metre, dotless. 180° beam. 35.7 mm cutting increment. Continuous run 5 m one-end, 10 m two-end. Driver AND controller required. Aluminium heat sink mandatory. 3-year warranty. ⭐⭐ IT PUBLISHES LUMENS PER CHANNEL, WHICH ALMOST NO RGB PRODUCT DOES — and the figures explain something buyers usually discover too late: GREEN IS 4.7× BLUE, so a deep blue scene looks roughly a fifth as bright as a green one. That is the eye's own sensitivity curve, not a defect, and it is true of every RGB product ever made. ⭐ IF THE SCHEME DEPENDS ON BLUE, PLAN FOR IT. ⭐ And the separate CRI ≥90 white channel is the real argument for this over plain RGB.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Because the lumen is defined against the human eye's sensitivity curve, which peaks in the green near 555nm and falls away steeply toward both red and blue. A blue LED radiating the same power as a green one measures far fewer lumens — the eye simply sees less of it. Here it is 55 lm/m for blue against 260 for green, a factor of 4.7.
A deep blue scene will look dramatically dimmer than a green one — roughly a fifth as bright. That is true of every RGB product ever made, but almost none publishes the figures that let you anticipate it. If the scheme depends on blue, plan for it: accept a quieter effect, use more strip, or place it where the surface it washes is pale and reflective.
All three colour channels lit together give 425 lumens per metre, and the white channel adds 285 to 325 on its own.
Because of the white. A plain RGB strip makes white by mixing all three channels, and that white is poor — spikes where the three LEDs sit and gaps between them, so skin and timber look wrong. This strip carries a separate white channel at CRI ≥90, tuneable in temperature, so it does two jobs properly instead of one badly: real high-rendering white for everyday use, and saturated colour when it is wanted.
A 24V DC constant-voltage driver and a controller. RGBTW needs the controller to address the four channels — the sheet points you to the controller section for dimming options. Neither is included and neither is mentioned on the page. Tell us how you want to control it — wall plate, app, DMX — and we will match the controller to the driver.
5 metres from one end, 10 from two. The dense 840-LED board leaves little room for copper, and that is what sets the limit — not the load. At 21W per metre it is also the highest-load strip in the range, so a 5 metre run is 105 watts.
It is 1,000 divided by 28 — the strip divides into 28 addressable sections per metre. Four channels have to stay in step, so the repeating unit is larger than on a single-colour strip. Practically, lengths round to about 3.6cm: finer than the SMD strips, coarser than PLEX-COB's 25mm.
