The Domus PLEX-RGB COB IP67 is a 24 V RGB COB LED strip — 14 W per metre, 840 LEDs per metre, IP67, 1 m.

⭐ IP54 or IP67 — the same strip, and three positions where it matters

• ⭐ Everything else is identical: 14 W per metre, 840 LEDs, 24 V, 25 mm cut increments, the same 5 m and 10 m run limits. ⭐ The rating is the only difference between the two listings.
• ⭐ The three positions above are where it earns its cost. ⚠ A kitchen splashback does not need IP67 — ⭐ IP54 covers steam and splashing, which is what Domus names the IP54 version for.
• ⭐ The floor-detail case is the one people underestimate. ⭐ A skirting or stair-nosing strip WILL be mopped, and a mop bucket is closer to immersion than to splashing. ⭐ At floor level, take IP67.

⚠ And the cost nobody states — the joint

• ⭐ An IP67 strip is sealed in a continuous jacket. ⚠ That is what makes it IP67, and it is also what makes cutting and joining it harder.
• ⭐ Domus's PLEX-COB connectors are described for the IP54 strip — ⚠ “used to make install easier of all our IP54 COB strip”. ⛔ The IP67 strip is not named in that sentence.
• ⭐ That matters because a cut in a sealed strip breaks the seal. ⭐ Rejoining it and RESTORING IP67 is a different operation from clipping a connector onto an IP54 strip — ⚠ and nothing published says how it is done or what it needs.
• ⭐ SO: if the run needs cutting and joining AND an IP67 rating, ask us before ordering. ⭐ It is the one combination in this range where the accessory question is unanswered.

⭐ 840 LEDs per metre — dotless, whatever the rating

⭐ One LED every 1.19 mm, under a continuous COB phosphor layer. ⭐ So the profile you put it in is chosen for protection and finish rather than for depth — ⭐ which is the opposite of every discrete-LED strip in this catalogue.

⛔⛔ It must be mounted on an aluminium heat sink, or the warranty is void

• ⭐ This product's own datasheet states it in capitals: “All LED strip must be installed on an aluminium heat sink, failure to do so WILL VOID WARRANTY.”
• ⭐ Seventeen strip sheets in the range carry the requirement and sixteen state the warranty consequence — ⭐ it is the range's rule, not this product's quirk.
• ⛔ AND NO PRODUCT DESCRIPTION REPEATS IT. ⭐ It lives only inside a PDF a buyer has to open and read. ⛔ Nor does any of the catalogue's 47 aluminium profiles mention this strip range — ⭐ so the requirement and the thing that satisfies it sit in the same catalogue with no link in either direction.
• ⭐ THE PRACTICAL RULE: budget a profile with every metre of strip. ⭐ It is not a finishing option — it is the heat sink the warranty depends on. ⭐ Tell us the run and we will quote the strip and the profile together.
