A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
The Domus PLEX-MICRO is a 24 V COB LED strip — under 10 mm wide, 8 W per metre, CRI ≥90, IP54, 50 m, at 640 / 680 / 720 lm per metre.
| 50 m of | Run limit | ⭐ Runs (two-end) | ⭐ Drivers |

| ⭐ PLEX-MICRO — this | 10 m | ⭐ 5 | ⭐ 5 |
| PLEX-SMD-9 | 40 m | ⭐ 2 | 2 |
| ⭐ PLEX-SMD-5 | ⭐ 80 m | ⭐ 1 | ⭐ 1 |
⭐ 400 W total, ⭐ about 34,000 lumens, ⭐ five drivers of about 100 W each on two-end feeds, and fifty metres of narrow aluminium profile. ⛔ The profile is mandatory — the sheet voids the warranty without a heat sink — and on this strip it has to be narrow, which is a smaller subset of the catalogue's 47 profiles than usual. ⭐ Confirm the profile before ordering the strip.
⭐ Fifty metres is a single production run. ⭐ Narrow strips sit closer to what they light — a shelf edge is inches from the surface below it — so any colour difference between batches is seen at short range against a plain surface, which is the least forgiving way to view it. ⭐ Beyond fifty metres, ask us for consecutive rolls from one batch.

Narrow COB LED strip under 10 mm wide, IP54, 50 m. 8 W per metre at 24 V DC, 400 W total, ≈34,000 lm. 480 LEDs per metre, dotless. CRI ≥90. 180° beam. 50 mm cutting increment. Continuous run 5 m one-end, 10 m two-end. Aluminium heat sink mandatory. 3-year warranty. ⚠ FIFTY METRES OF A STRIP WHOSE RUN LIMIT IS FIVE — five runs and five drivers on two-end feeds, against ONE run and ONE driver for the same fifty metres of PLEX-SMD-5. ⭐ SO THE HONEST QUESTION IS WHETHER IT ALL NEEDS TO BE MICRO: this strip earns its place where the gap is under 10 mm, and a standard strip runs further and costs less everywhere else. ⭐ MIXING IS THE SENSIBLE ANSWER on a large job — both are dotless and CRI ≥90, so they look consistent together.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Five on two-end feeds, or ten on one-end. PLEX-MICRO runs 5 metres from one end and 10 from two, so this is the most fragmented long order in the range. The same fifty metres of PLEX-SMD-5, which runs 40 metres per feed, is a single run.
Almost certainly not. This strip earns its place where the gap is under 10mm — that is the entire reason it exists. Where the gap is standard, a standard strip runs further, costs less and needs fewer drivers. Buying MICRO for a whole job is paying a run-length penalty for a width you do not need everywhere.
Yes, and on a large job it is the sensible answer: MICRO in the tight reveals, standard PLEX-COB everywhere else. Both are dotless and both are CRI ≥90, so they look consistent together. Match the colour temperature and order from one batch and the join is invisible. Tell us the runs and where the narrow ones are and we will split the order.
400 watts, about 34,000 lumens, five drivers of about 100W each on two-end feeds, and fifty metres of narrow aluminium profile. The profile is mandatory — the sheet voids the warranty without a heat sink — and on this strip it has to be narrow, which is a smaller subset of the catalogue's 47 profiles than usual. Confirm the profile before ordering the strip.
Because narrow strips sit closer to what they light. A shelf edge is inches from the surface below it, so any colour difference between batches is seen at short range against a plain surface — the least forgiving way to view it. Fifty metres is a single production run, so all five lengths match. Beyond fifty metres, ask us for consecutive rolls from one batch.
50mm, twice PLEX-COB's 25mm. On the short decorative runs this strip suits that is a real constraint — a 380mm shelf edge takes a 350mm length. Check the dimensions before committing to joinery.
640 lumens per metre at 3000K, 680 at 4000K and 720 at 5000K, from 8 watts — so 80 to 90 lumens per watt. Across fifty metres that is about 34,000 lumens, which is a substantial amount of light for a strip you can hide in a sub-10mm gap.
