The Domus PLEX-MICRO is a 24 V COB LED strip — under 10 mm wide, 8 W per metre, CRI ≥90, IP54, 1 m, at 640 / 680 / 720 lm per metre.
⭐ Domus's own description is precise about this — a “micro-width LED Strip that offers applications where small spaces require smaller than 10 mm widths”. ⭐ Standard PLEX-COB is a 10 mm board. This is narrower. ⭐ That single dimension is the whole product: slim shadow gaps, thin shelf edges, narrow profiles, tight reveals, the underside of a 12 mm shelf. ⭐ If a standard strip fits, use one; it will run further and cost less.
⭐ 640 lm at 3000 K, 680 at 4000, 720 at 5000 — ⭐ 80 to 90 lumens per watt. ⭐ That puts it between the 5 W and 10 W standard-width strips in output while occupying less than half the width. ⚠ The efficiency is slightly behind the wider strips, which follows from the same constraint: less board means less heat-spreading area, and hotter LEDs are less efficient. ⭐ The aluminium profile matters more here than anywhere.

Places a standard strip will not fit. Domus's own description is precise: a "micro-width LED Strip that offers applications where small spaces require smaller than 10mm widths". Standard PLEX-COB is a 10mm board and this is narrower — slim shadow gaps, thin shelf edges, narrow profiles, tight reveals, the underside of a 12mm shelf. If a standard strip fits, use one: it will run further and cost less.
Because of its width. PLEX-ULTRA carries the same LED density on its spec sheet and runs 13 metres, and PLEX-MICRO draws less current per metre than PLEX-SMD-9 — 0.333A against 0.375 — while running 5 metres against 20. Neither load nor density explains that. A narrower board carries a narrower copper trace, which is a higher resistance per metre, and voltage drop is current times that resistance.
Exactly, and that is a consequence rather than a fault. Being under 10mm is the whole point of the product and it is also why the run is short. Feed it from both ends and you get 10 metres; beyond that it is two runs and two feeds. Worth knowing before planning an eight metre shadow gap around a narrow reveal.
We use 480. The product title says 480, the datasheet's own description says 480, and the datasheet's spec table says 560 — two sources against one, and the two that agree are the ones a buyer actually reads. The cross-check supports 480 too: standard PLEX-COB is 640 per metre on a 10mm board and this is the narrower product, so a lower density is the coherent reading.
Not visibly. At 480 per metre the LED spacing is 2.1mm and at 560 it is 1.8mm, both well below the point where individual LEDs become visible through a diffuser. Either is genuinely dotless, so it affects the record rather than what you see.
640 lumens per metre at 3000K, 680 at 4000K and 720 at 5000K — so 80 to 90 lumens per watt from 8W. That puts it between the 5W and 10W standard-width strips in output while occupying less than half the width. Two things. The cutting increment is 50mm, twice PLEX-COB's — so on the short decorative runs this strip suits, a 380mm shelf edge takes a 350mm length. And the profile has to be narrow too: the heat sink is mandatory and voids the warranty if omitted, and the catalogue's 47 profiles do not state which strips they suit. Tell us the strip and the gap and we will match a profile that fits both.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
You must lodge a return request via the below request form.
Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
