A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
The Domus PLEX-COB Tuneable IP67 is a 24 V tuneable-white COB LED strip — 20 W per metre, 840 LEDs per metre, 2700–6500 K, IP67 silicon coated, 50 m pack.
⭐ Choosing a PLEX-COB strip means five decisions, and no listing puts them together.
| Decision | Options | ⭐ What decides it |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Colour mode | Single · RGB · ⭐ Tuneable | ⭐ Whether the colour must change after handover |
| 2. Wattage | 5 · 10 · 15 · ⭐ 20 W/m | ⭐ Brightness — and inversely, REACH |
| 3. Density | 640 (single) · ⭐ 840 (RGB, tuneable) | ⚠ Follows from the mode — not a free choice |
| 4. IP rating | IP54 · ⭐ IP67 | ⭐ Splashing versus water with force |
| 5. Format | 1 m · 5 m · 20 m · ⭐ 50 m | ⭐ Run count, not total metreage |
⭐ Tuneable, 20 W, IP67, 50 metres. ⭐ That is the most capable and the most demanding specification in the family at once — ⭐ full colour-temperature control, the highest output, real water protection, at project scale. ⭐ It belongs on a hotel, spa, gym or aquatic-centre fitout where wet-area detail lighting has to shift from bright and cool by day to warm in the evening. ⚠ It is a serious purchase: 1000 watts of load, ten or more drivers, ten or more controller channels, and a commissioning exercise. ⭐ Tell us the spaces and how they should behave and we will scope the control before anything is ordered.

Tuneable-white COB LED strip, IP67 silicon coated, 50 m pack. 20 W per metre at 24 V DC, 1000 W total. 840 LEDs per metre. CRI90. 2700–6500 K. Driver and controller required per run. ⭐ CHOOSING A PLEX-COB STRIP MEANS FIVE DECISIONS AND NO LISTING ASSEMBLES THEM: colour mode, wattage, density, IP rating and format. ⭐ WATTAGE IS THE ONE PEOPLE GET BACKWARDS — it reads as brightness and is equally REACH, because current drives voltage drop, so the 5 W strip carries furthest and this 20 W one least. ⭐ AND FORMAT IS ABOUT RUN COUNT, NOT METRES: a 5 m pack is one run and one driver; this is ten or more of each.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Five decisions, and no listing puts them together. The colour mode — single, RGB or tuneable. The wattage — 5, 10, 15 or 20W per metre. The density, which follows from the mode rather than being a free choice. The IP rating. And the format.
The wattage. It reads as a brightness choice and is equally a reach choice, because higher wattage draws more current and current drives voltage drop. The 5W strip carries furthest and this 20W one carries least. Decide the run length first, then the wattage.
No — 640 comes with single colour and 840 with RGB and tuneable. Both are dotless, so it does not change the look. The 840 exists because a tuneable strip carries two sets of emitters, warm and cool, interleaved on the same board, and needs the extra density to stay smooth at every setting.
Run count, not total metreage. A 5m pack is exactly one run and one driver, because the range publishes a 5 metre single-feed maximum. This 50m pack is ten or more runs and ten or more drivers. That count is the cost line people miss, and it is not stated on any listing.
Tuneable, 20W, IP67, 50 metres is the most capable and most demanding specification in the family at once — full colour-temperature control, the highest output, real water protection, at project scale. It belongs on a hotel, spa, gym or aquatic-centre fitout where wet-area detail lighting has to shift from bright and cool by day to warm in the evening.
The control. This is 1000 watts of load, ten or more drivers, ten or more controller channels and a commissioning exercise. Tell us the spaces and how they should behave — together or independently — and we will scope the control before anything is ordered. It is far cheaper decided in advance than after the cable is run.
The maximum run at 20W per metre, the driver and controller counts, how to restore the IP67 seal after a cut, and the warranty — though siblings in the family publish three years. The cutting question matters most here, because with this many runs there will be many cuts.

| ⭐ FIVE DECISIONS, NO LISTING ASSEMBLES THEM | Colour mode · wattage · density · IP · format |
| ⭐⭐ WATTAGE IS GOT BACKWARDS | ⚠ It reads as BRIGHTNESS and is equally REACH |
| ⭐ Higher wattage draws more current | ⭐ And current drives voltage drop |
| ⭐ So the 5 W strip carries FURTHEST | ⚠ And this 20 W one carries LEAST |
| ⭐ Density is NOT a free choice | 640 with single colour · ⭐ 840 with RGB and tuneable |
| ⭐ Why 840 on tuneable | ⭐ TWO emitter sets interleaved — ⭐ dotless at every setting |
| ⭐⭐ FORMAT IS ABOUT RUN COUNT | ⚠ Not total metreage |
| ⭐ A 5 m pack = one run, one driver | ⚠ This 50 m pack = ten or more of each |
| ⭐ This combination is the most capable AND most demanding | Tuneable + 20 W + IP67 + 50 m |
| ⭐ It belongs on | Hotel · spa · gym · ⭐ aquatic-centre fitouts |
