The Domus PLEX-COB Tuneable is a 24 V tuneable-white COB LED strip — 20 W per metre, 840 LEDs per metre, CRI90, 2700–6500 K, IP54, 1 m.

⭐ 2700–6500 K spans wider than the fixed range does

• ⭐ The single-colour PLEX-COB strips are sold at 2700, 3000, 4000 and 5000 K. ⭐ This one covers 2700 to 6500 K continuously.
• ⭐ So it goes as warm as the warmest fixed option AND 1500 K cooler than the coolest — ⭐ 6500 K is daylight, well beyond anything the fixed range offers.
• ⭐ THE REAL ARGUMENT FOR TUNEABLE IS NOT THE RANGE THOUGH — it is not having to choose in advance. ⭐ On a fixed strip the colour is decided at order, and the room is finished months later. ⚠ Timber comes in warmer than the sample, stone comes in greyer, a paint reads differently at scale — ⭐ and a fixed 4000 K strip that looked right on paper can be visibly wrong against what actually got built.
• ⭐ Tuneable moves that decision to handover, when the materials are in front of you. ⭐ On a project where the finishes are not yet locked, that is worth more than any specification on the page.
• ⚠ The cost: 20 W per metre, a controller, and a control the client has to understand. ⭐ Worth it where the colour genuinely matters; unnecessary in a garage.

⭐ 20 W per metre — the highest load in the PLEX-COB family

• ⭐ Two things stand out. ⭐ The single-colour ladder keeps 640 LEDs per metre constant and varies only the wattage — ⭐ so brightness is chosen without changing smoothness.
• ⭐ The tuneable and RGB versions step up to 840 per metre, ⚠ which they need: a tuneable strip carries TWO sets of emitters — warm and cool — interleaved along the same board. ⭐ More emitters in the same space is what makes that possible.
• ⚠ And it is why the load is 20 W/m. ⭐ At full warm or full cool only half the emitters are working hard — ⭐ so the 20 W is what it draws with both sets contributing, around the middle of the range. ⭐ Size the driver at 20 W per metre regardless.

⭐ A metre is a sample — and on tuneable it earns its place

⭐ On a fixed strip a sample shows you one colour. ⭐ On this one it shows you the whole range against your actual materials — ⭐ which is the only way to find out whether 2700 K is too warm on your timber or 6500 K too cold on your stone. ⭐ Buy the metre and a small driver before committing to a roll.

• ⭐ This product's own datasheet states it in capitals: “All LED strip must be installed on an aluminium heat sink, failure to do so WILL VOID WARRANTY.”
• ⭐ Seventeen strip sheets in the range carry the requirement and sixteen state the warranty consequence — ⭐ it is the range's rule, not this product's quirk.
• ⛔ AND NO PRODUCT DESCRIPTION REPEATS IT. ⭐ It lives only inside a PDF a buyer has to open and read. ⛔ Nor does any of the catalogue's 47 aluminium profiles mention this strip range — ⭐ so the requirement and the thing that satisfies it sit in the same catalogue with no link in either direction.
