The Domus PLEX-COB Straight Strip-to-Strip Connector is a solderless joiner — 5 pack, for Micro, tuneable, RGB or RGBTW strip.

⭐ Four variants, because each strip type has a different number of conductors

• ⭐ This connector comes in four versions and they are NOT interchangeable. ⭐ The reason is electrical: an LED strip carries one conductor per channel plus a common, and the channel count differs by type.

• ⭐ So an RGB connector physically cannot serve an RGBTW strip — it is two conductors short. ⚠ And a connector with too many contacts on a simpler strip will not align with the pads.
• ⭐ THE ORDERING RULE: match the connector to the STRIP TYPE, not to the job. ⭐ Tell us which strip you are running and we will send the right variant.
• ⭐ This is also why the named controller has FIVE channels — ⭐ it is sized for RGBTW, the most demanding of the family, so one controller covers them all.

⭐⭐ Why a strip-to-strip connector matters more on COB than anywhere else

• ⭐ The PLEX COB strip has a published maximum run of 5 m from one feed. ⚠ Almost any real run is longer than that.
• ⭐ So joining is not an occasional repair on this product — it is the normal case. ⭐ A 12 m kitchen line is three sections and at least two joins.
• ⭐ Which makes two published facts about these connectors unusually valuable: ⭐ they need no soldering (a pair of pliers), and they FIT INSIDE THE PROFILE.
• ⭐ That second one is the reason a joined run can still read as one line. ⚠ A joiner that had to sit outside the channel would force a visible break at every 5 m — which on a dotless COB strip, chosen precisely for its continuity, would defeat the point.

⭐ Straight, and the shapes that are not

⭐ This is the STRAIGHT joiner: two lengths in line. ⭐ Domus also lists L-SHAPED and FLEXIBLE strip-to-strip connectors — ⚠ but its own description says those are for the SINGLE COLOUR COB strip only. ⭐ So on an RGB or tuneable run, a corner has to be made with a flylead cable rather than a rigid corner piece, ⚠ and that changes how a corner detail is built. ⭐ Worth knowing before the joinery is drawn.
