The Domus PLEX-COB RGB IP20 Live Cable Connector is a solderless strip-to-driver connector for RGB strip — IP20, 500 mm or 2000 mm tail, 5 pack.
⭐ This listing is for RGB strip only, rather than carrying the type as a variant. ⭐ It is the clearer arrangement of the two used across this accessory range — ⭐ a buyer with an RGB strip finds an RGB connector, with no risk of selecting the wrong variant. ⚠ The opposite-wiring listing carries five types under a title naming one, which is the arrangement that causes trouble. ⭐ An RGB strip needs four conductors — a common plus red, green and blue — and a connector for a simpler strip physically will not serve it.
⭐ The tail runs from the strip to the driver, so its length is set by where the driver lives. ⭐ On an RGB run the driver is not alone — there is a controller too, ⭐ and the pair needs more room than a single driver does. ⚠ 500 mm rarely reaches a location that fits both. ⭐ Take the 2000 mm.
⭐ A pair of pliers, no iron. ⭐ Published pulling force 4.64 kgf. ⭐ And Domus states the connectors fit inside the profile — ⭐ so a feed point does not force the strip out of its channel.

Domus flags this as made to order, so it is not held on a shelf. ⛔ No lead time is published. Call our team to confirm availability before ordering. ⭐ We will. ⚠ The flag also says "cut to length", which comes from a generic sentence about the STRIP — ⭐ a connector cannot be cut to length, and nothing about the lead time depends on that.
Solderless IP20 live cable connector for PLEX-COB RGB LED strip, 5 pack. 500 mm or 2000 mm tail. Pliers only. Pulling force 4.64 kgf. Fits inside the profile. ⛔ IT IS IP20 AND THE STRIP IT CONNECTS IS IP54 OR IP67 — and an assembly is rated at its weakest point, so a run of IP67 strip terminated with an IP20 connector is an IP67 strip with an unrated joint in it. ⭐ NOTHING PUBLISHED ADDRESSES THE COMBINATION. ⭐ THE PRACTICAL ANSWER IS A LAYOUT ONE: put the connector somewhere dry — a cabinet, above a ceiling, behind a sealed panel — so the strip does the wet work and the connection does not.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
An IP67 strip with an unrated joint in it. An assembly is rated at its weakest point, and this connector publishes IP20 — protection against solid objects above 12.5mm and no water protection at all. Nothing published addresses the combination: the strip listings state their rating, this connector states its own, and no page explains what you actually get.
Put the connector somewhere dry — inside a cabinet, above a ceiling, behind a sealed panel — so the strip does the wet work and the connection does not. That is a layout decision rather than a product one, and it has to be made before the detail is built rather than discovered during installation.
Ask us. A different termination method is needed and this is not it. That situation comes up more than people expect on floor details and outdoor runs, where there is often nowhere dry within reach of the strip.
And that is the clearer arrangement of the two used across this accessory range. A buyer with an RGB strip finds an RGB connector, with no risk of selecting the wrong variant. The opposite-wiring listing carries five types under a title naming only one, which is the arrangement that causes trouble.
No. An RGB strip needs four conductors — a common plus red, green and blue — and a connector built for a simpler strip physically will not serve it. Match the connector to the strip type, and tell us which strip you are running if there is any doubt.
The 2000mm, usually. The tail runs from the strip to the driver, and on an RGB run the driver is not alone — there is a controller too, and the pair needs more room than a single driver does. 500mm rarely reaches a location that fits both.
No — a pair of pliers, no iron. Domus publishes a pulling force of 4.64 kgf, and states the connectors fit inside the profile, so a feed point does not force the strip out of its channel. That last point is what lets a fed run still read as a continuous line.
