A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
The Domus PLEX-COB-10 is a 24 V COB LED strip — 10 W per metre, 640 LEDs per metre, CRI90, IP54, 5 m pack, in 3000, 4000 or 5000 K.
⭐ This pack sells 3000, 4000 and 5000 K. ⛔ 2700 K exists in the PLEX-COB-10 range but only on the 1 m sample, the 50 m pack and two IP67 listings. ⚠ So the format that best matches the run limit is the one that cannot supply the warmest colour. ⭐ If 2700 K is what the room wants, tell us the length and we will find out whether Domus can cut it from another format.

COB LED strip, 5 m pack. 10 W per metre at 24 V DC. 640 LEDs per metre, dotless. CRI90. 3000, 4000 or 5000 K. IP54. Driver required, approximately 60 W. ⭐ THE 5 m PACK IS EXACTLY ONE RUN, AND THAT IS NOT A COINCIDENCE — the range publishes a 5 m maximum from a single tail and driver, so one pack is one run with one driver, one feed point and no joins. ⭐ IT IS THE ONLY FORMAT WHERE THE QUANTITY AND THE ELECTRICAL LIMIT LINE UP, and nothing in the catalogue points it out. ⭐ A 20 m roll is four runs and four drivers; a 50 m pack is ten and ten.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Because it is exactly one run. The PLEX-COB range publishes a maximum of 5 metres from a single tail and driver, and this pack is 5 metres — so one pack is one run, with one driver, one feed point and no joins. It is the only format where the quantity and the electrical limit line up.
No. The run limit is in the description and the pack size is in the title, and neither refers to the other. Compare the alternatives: a 20m roll is four runs and four drivers, and a 50m pack is ten and ten — both need the run count worked out before they can be quoted. The 5m pack needs no arithmetic at all.
50 watts of load plus headroom — call it 60W at 24V DC. Running a driver at its rated maximum shortens its life, and the driver is the part that fails first in any low-voltage installation. Put it somewhere you can reach, because a 60W driver will not fit inside a cove detail.
No. This format sells 3000, 4000 and 5000K. 2700K exists in the PLEX-COB-10 range but only on the 1m sample, the 50m pack and two IP67 listings — so the format that best matches the run limit is the one that cannot supply the warmest colour. If 2700K is what the room wants, tell us the length and we will find out whether Domus can cut it from another format.
3000K for a home — under a kitchen cabinet it flatters timber and stone. 4000K for a working light: a laundry, a garage bench, an office shelf, though it is slightly cold in a living room. 5000K is commercial and clinical, and rarely right in a home.
Yes, and that is worth knowing. A strip is usually seen as a line of light rather than as illumination, so the colour reads directly rather than being averaged across a room. And it is fixed at order — this is single-colour strip, not tuneable — so there is no adjusting it afterwards.
No. 640 per metre is one every 1.56mm, which Domus calls a true dotless appearance. That density is constant across the 5, 10, 15 and 20W versions, so brightness is chosen by wattage and the smoothness does not change.
