A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
The Domus PLEO-VIVID Side is a 24 V side-emitting fixed-colour LED neon flex — 9.6 W per metre, IP67, 1 m, in red or green.
⛔ The DOMINANT WAVELENGTH. ⭐ A brand red is a specific colour, and “red” covers a wide range — roughly 610 to 640 nm are all reds and they do not look alike. ⚠ The title's CRI90 tells you nothing here: CRI describes a white source, and this is a saturated single colour. ⭐ If the colour has to match a brand, ask us for the wavelength and buy a 1 m sample to look at against the actual brand material.

Side-emitting fixed-colour 24 V DC LED neon flex, 1 m. 9.6 W per metre. 140 SMD LEDs per metre, cut in 50 mm increments. IP67. Dimmable with a suitable driver. Red or green. 3-year warranty. ⛔ YOU CANNOT SAMPLE A COLOUR THIS RANGE SELLS — this 1 m listing offers red and green; its own 20 m roll offers red, blue and green. ⭐ AND THE MISMATCH RUNS BOTH WAYS: on the standard version, yellow is samplable and not available on a roll. So there is no rule to apply — each colour, format and emission combination has to be checked. ⭐ SIDE-EMITTING FIXED COLOUR IS FOR ONE JOB: neon-effect signage, where letters are curves drawn on a plane in one permanent colour.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Nothing published says, and the gap runs the wrong way. This 1m listing offers red and green; its own 20m roll offers red, blue and green. So blue is buyable on a roll and not samplable in a metre — which is the reverse of the problem elsewhere in this range, where yellow is samplable on the standard version and not available on a roll.
No, and that is the finding. The two formats disagree in both directions, on different colours, in different versions. Each combination has to be checked individually. Tell us the colour, the format and the emission direction before you design around it — all three have to line up, and the catalogue will not tell you whether they do.
Neon-effect signage, and that is close to the only answer. Side-emitting flex fires from its edge, so it bends easily in the direction a flat curve needs, where a top-emitting flex forced round a curve drawn on a plane twists and the emitting face rolls over. Combine that with fixed saturated colour and you have formed lettering, logos and outlines in one permanent colour.
Because letters are set out to a drawing, and a 50mm rounding on each stroke accumulates. Across a word or a logo that becomes visible misproportion. Lay the letterforms out to multiples of 50mm before the flex is ordered rather than discovering the rounding when the strokes are cut.
Ask us for the dominant wavelength, and buy a 1m sample to look at against the actual brand material. "Red" covers a wide range — roughly 610 to 640nm are all reds and they do not look alike. The dominant wavelength is the figure that pins it down, and it is not published.
Not at all. CRI describes how a white source renders a set of reference colours; this is a saturated single colour with no colour temperature, so the measurement is undefined rather than low. The figure is inherited from the white PLEO range and tells you nothing about this product.
Yes — the description states IP67, dust-tight and rated for temporary immersion, which covers exposed signage and facade work. Note the IP rating appears in the description rather than in a specification field on this listing, which is why it is worth stating plainly.
