A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
The Domus PLEO-9.6 Micro Side is a 24 V side-emitting LED neon flex — 9.6 W per metre, CRI90, IP67, 20 m reel, in 3000, 4000 or 5000 K.
⭐ Choosing a PLEO flex means four separate decisions, and no listing in the catalogue puts them together.
| Decision | Options | ⭐ What actually decides it |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Wattage | 7.2 · ⭐ 9.6 · 14.4 W/m | ⭐ RUN LENGTH, not brightness — ⭐ only 7.2 publishes a limit |
| 2. Emission | Top · ⭐ Side | ⭐ Whether the curve is drawn on a flat plane |
| 3. Size | Standard · ⭐ Micro | ⭐ Beam — 165° standard, 110° micro |
| 4. Format | 1 m · ⭐ 20 m reel | ⭐ Sample first, then buy the reel |
⭐ Micro publishes a 110° beam against the standard's 165°, ⭐ and side view emits from the edge rather than the face. ⭐ Together those give the most contained line in the range — ⭐ which is what you want inside a routed groove or a narrow reveal, where a wide beam simply lights the groove's own walls. ⚠ It is the least useful combination for an exposed outline meant to be seen from every angle, ⭐ where the standard top view at 165° is the answer.

Side-emitting Micro 24 V DC LED neon flex, 20 m reel. 9.6 W per metre. 140 SMD LEDs per metre, cut in 50 mm increments. 110° beam. CRI90. 3000 / 4000 / 5000 K. IP67. 3-year warranty. ⭐ CHOOSING A PLEO FLEX MEANS FOUR DECISIONS AND NO LISTING PUTS THEM TOGETHER: wattage, emission, size and format. ⭐ THE WATTAGE ONE IS THE ONE PEOPLE GET BACKWARDS — it reads as a brightness choice and is really a REACH choice, since 7.2 W/m carries 20 m from one feed and higher wattages carry less. ⭐ Decide the run length first, then the wattage. ⭐ Micro plus side view gives the most contained line in the range, which is what a routed groove needs.

Four decisions, and no listing in the catalogue puts them together. The wattage — 7.2, 9.6 or 14.4W per metre. The emission — top or side. The size — standard or Micro. And the format — a 1m sample or a 20m reel.
The wattage. It reads as a brightness choice and it is really a reach choice: 7.2W/m carries 20 metres from one feed, and higher wattages draw more current and carry less. Decide the run length first, then the wattage — not the other way round.
Whether the curve is drawn on a flat plane. A top-emitting flex fires from its wide face and follows a cove or a section curve; forced round a curve drawn on a floor or wall it twists. Side view emits from the edge and follows a flat curve naturally.
The beam. Micro publishes 110 degrees against the standard's 165 — noticeably tighter, so more light goes forward and less spills sideways. Inside a routed groove or a narrow reveal that is what you want, because a wide beam simply lights the groove's own walls.
A moderate-length run, curved on a flat plane, sitting inside a channel or reveal, bought as one continuous piece. Micro plus side view gives the most contained line in the range. It is the least useful combination for an exposed outline meant to be seen from every angle — there the standard top view at 165 degrees is the answer.
Not published. Only the 7.2W version states a limit — 20 metres from one feed, 40 from both. Since voltage drop is driven by current, 9.6 carries less than 20 metres from one feed, though that is an inference rather than a figure. Ask us beyond about 12 metres.
The section dimensions, which is awkward on a product whose defining feature is being smaller — and it is the figure that would pair it to a profile. Only two of the nineteen PLEO flex listings state a section. Also the lumen output. Driver sizing is straightforward: 9.6W per metre times your metres, plus about a fifth.
