A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
The Domus PLEO-7.2 Side View is a 24 V side-emitting LED neon flex — 6.5 × 11 mm section, 7.2 W per metre, CRI90, IP67, 1 m, in 3000, 4000 or 5000 K.
⭐ This section is 6.5 mm across and 11 mm deep. ⭐ Side-emitting flex fires from the EDGE, and on a section this shape the emitting edge is the narrow 6.5 mm face — ⭐ which gives a fine, well-defined line rather than a broad glow. ⭐ That suits signage and outlines, where the line has a drawn shape. ⚠ The 11 mm depth is the dimension that has to fit your channel or reveal, ⭐ and it is the one people measure last.
⭐ This is the 7.2 W per metre flex, ⭐ and its 20 m sibling publishes what none of the other wattages does: up to 20 m of continuous light from a single driver feed at one end, or up to 40 m powered from both ends. ⭐ Half the watts per metre of the 14.4 buys roughly twice the reach, because voltage drop is driven by current. ⭐ So for a long signage run or a facade outline, this is the wattage to start from.

Side-emitting 24 V DC LED neon flex, 6.5 × 11 mm, 1 m. 7.2 W per metre. 140 SMD LEDs per metre, cut in 50 mm increments. CRI90. 3000 / 4000 / 5000 K. IP67. Order code PLEO-7.2-S. ⭐⭐ ITS TITLE STATES THE SECTION, AND ONLY TWO OF NINETEEN FLEX LISTINGS DO. That number is the single most useful thing on the page, because it is what pairs a flex to a profile: a 6.5 × 11 mm flex goes in a 6.5 × 11 mm Pleo profile, and that is the whole rule. ⛔ THE OTHER SEVENTEEN LEAVE IT INVISIBLE, and no profile listing names a compatible flex either — so on seventeen of nineteen the pairing cannot be made from the catalogue at all.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
The section of the flex — and it is the single most useful thing on the page, because it is what pairs the flex to a profile. Domus sells Pleo aluminium profiles in three sections: 4 x 8, 6.5 x 11 and 10 x 10mm. A 6.5 x 11mm flex goes in a 6.5 x 11mm profile. That is the whole rule.
Because almost no other listing gives it. We counted: of 19 PLEO flex listings, only two state a section — this one and the 10 x 10 top-view version. The other seventeen leave it invisible, and no profile listing names a compatible flex either. So on seventeen of the nineteen the pairing cannot be made from the catalogue at all.
Quite. A 6.5mm flex in a 10mm channel rattles and sits crooked; a 10mm flex will not enter a 6.5mm channel at all. There is no adjustment in an aluminium extrusion, so getting the pairing wrong means buying one of the two again. Tell us the flex and we will confirm the profile.
A fine, well-defined line. It is 6.5mm across and 11mm deep, and side-emitting flex fires from the edge — so on this shape the emitting face is the narrow 6.5mm one, which gives a drawn line rather than a broad glow. That suits signage and outlines where the line has a defined shape.
The 11mm depth, which is the dimension that has to fit your channel or reveal and the one people measure last. The width tells you which profile it pairs with; the depth tells you whether it fits the space you have made for it.
Reach. Its 20m sibling publishes what none of the other wattages does — up to 20 metres of continuous light from a single driver feed at one end, or 40 metres powered from both ends. Half the watts per metre of the 14.4 buys roughly twice the reach, because voltage drop is driven by current. For a long signage run or a facade outline, this is the wattage to start from.
In 50mm increments. 140 SMD LEDs per metre is one every 7.14mm, and 50 divided by 7.14 is exactly 7 — so a cut segment is a block of seven LEDs in series. On signage that rounding accumulates across letterforms, so set out to multiples of 50mm from the start.
