⭐⭐ 20 metres from one end, 40 from both — and why that is the whole point

• ⭐ Domus states it plainly, and it is the most useful sentence in this range: ⭐ the PLEO-7.2 “allows for up to 20 metres of continuous light from a single driver feed at one end, or extend up to 40 metres when powered from both ends.”
• ⭐ That is a direct answer to the question every long strip run raises: how far before the far end goes dim? ⚠ Low-voltage runs lose voltage along their length, ⭐ and the visible result is a line that fades toward one end — ⭐ which on a cove or a window reveal is exactly where the eye travels.
• ⭐ Feeding from BOTH ENDS doubles the usable run, ⭐ because current enters from two directions and the worst point moves to the middle instead of the end. ⚠ It costs a second cable route, planned early.

⭐ Why a 7.2 W version exists at all

• ⭐ Because half the watts per metre buys roughly twice the run. ⭐ Voltage drop is driven by CURRENT, and current is set by the load per metre.
• ⭐ Worked: 7.2 W/m over 20 m is 144 W, or 6 A at 24 V. ⭐ The 14.4 W/m version over the same 20 m would be 288 W and 12 A — ⚠ double the current, so it will not carry the same distance.
• ⭐ So the choice between 7.2 and 14.4 W/m is not simply brightness — ⭐ it is brightness against reach. ⚠ Domus publishes the run figure only on the 7.2, so the 14.4's limit has to be asked for. ⭐ Ask us.
• ⭐ THE RULE OF THUMB: for a long architectural cove, take the 7.2 and feed both ends. ⭐ For a short bright accent, take the 14.4.
