How do I size the driver?

On run length, because flex load is per metre. 14.4W/m over 8m is 115W, so a 150W driver with headroom. 7.2W/m over 8m is 58W, so a 75W driver. Allow about a fifth: running a driver at its rated maximum shortens its life, and the driver is the part that fails first in any low-voltage installation.

Where should the driver go?

Somewhere you can reach. A 150W driver is not a small object and will not fit inside a cove detail — it needs a cupboard, a ceiling access panel or a plant space, decided before the ceiling closes. Since it is the part most likely to fail, sealing it into a cavity is the mistake that costs most later.

Which flex does this profile take?

Do I need a profile at all?

Often not. PLEO flex is IP67 in a polyurethane enclosure with its own mounting clips, so it is self-supporting. A profile buys a straight line over imperfect joinery, a crisp shadow edge in a reveal, physical protection at low level, and a recess detail. What it does not buy is diffusion — the flex is already a line.

Why buy per metre?

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
