The Domus PLEO 10×10 mm Rigid Profile is an aluminium channel for LED strip and neon flex — sold per metre, with mounting clips, in polished aluminium.

⭐⭐ One part, recessed or surface — which nothing else here does

• ⭐ Domus states it plainly: this profile “can be used in both recessed and surface mounted applications”.
• ⚠ Every other Domus profile family sells the two separately — ⭐ Micro REC and Micro SM, Nova-17 REC and SM, Nova-20, Nova-24, each as a distinct product with distinct dimensions.
• ⭐ And that split is where the problems in those families came from. ⭐ A recessed profile carries a FLANGE and a surface one does not, so the two have different widths — ⛔ which is exactly what the NOVA-24 listings got wrong, publishing an identical 23.5 mm for both when they cannot be the same.
• ⭐ One part that does both has no flange question, no width divergence and no chance of buying the wrong half. ⭐ It is a simpler product to specify, and the simplicity is the feature.
• ⚠ What you give up: a profile designed for both is a compromise at each. ⭐ A dedicated recessed profile finishes flush with a flange that covers a rough groove edge; a dedicated surface one is as low as it can be. ⭐ This will do both competently rather than either perfectly, ⚠ and on a visible face that difference may show. ⭐ Ask us for the section detail if the finish is critical.

⭐ 10 × 10 mm — the largest Pleo, and a square section

⭐ Three sizes exist: 4 × 8, 6.5 × 11 and 10 × 10 mm. ⭐ This is the only SQUARE one — ⚠ the other two are taller than they are wide. ⭐ A square section matters when the profile turns a corner or changes plane, ⭐ because it presents the same face whichever way it is rotated — ⭐ so a run that goes from horizontal under a shelf to vertical up a return reads consistently. ⚠ A 6.5 × 11 profile rotated 90° looks like a different product.

⭐ What it houses, and why that decides the rest

• ⭐ Domus designs it for the PLEO neon flex range “and other compatible LED strip”.
• ⭐ With NEON FLEX the usual profile question — depth, and whether you will see individual LEDs — does not arise. ⭐ Flex is a continuous silicone-encased emitter, diffused along its whole length, so it is already a line.
• ⚠ With BARE STRIP the question returns, ⭐ and at 10 mm deep this is the best of the three Pleo sections for blending — ⭐ comparable to a Nova-20 or Nova-24.
• ⛔ No compatible-strip list, no maximum strip width and no diffuser detail are published. ⭐ Tell us the strip and we will confirm it seats.
