The Domus PANEL-BLT-DIM is a 10 W backlit LED panel — TRIAC dimmable, tri-colour switchable, with a harmonic filter for flicker-free operation, white frame and opal diffuser.
| ⭐ At full output | ⚠ When dimmed | |
|---|---|---|
| Cause | Driver ripple / harmonic distortion | ⚠ Dimmer and driver interaction |
| Addressed? | ⭐ Yes — the harmonic filter | ⛔ Not stated |
| Shows as | ⭐ Rolling bands on camera | ⚠ Visible pulsing, especially low |
⭐ Domus's flicker-free claim addresses the first. ⚠ A dimmable fitting has a second flicker question that only appears at low levels, and nothing published addresses it. ⭐ On a fitting sold specifically for dimming, that is the gap worth naming.
⛔ No lumen output, no dimensions, no IP rating and no warranty. ⭐ Its single variant is named “303”, which is the 300 × 300 mm module — ⚠ a size code used as a variant name, which is not obvious to a reader. ⭐ At the family's 88–94 lm/W, 10 W suggests roughly 880–940 lm. ⚠ An inference, not a published figure.

10 W backlit LED panel, 300 × 300 mm module. TRIAC dimmable. Tri-colour switchable by DIP switch on the cable. White frame, opal diffuser. Harmonic filter, flicker-free. ⭐ TRIAC IS WHY THIS ONE IS DIFFERENT — the rest of the family dims by DALI or not at all, and DALI needs a control system, a cable to each fitting and commissioning. ⭐ TRIAC needs a dimmer switch. ⚠ THE TRAP IS THE LOAD: 10W is very little for a mains dimmer, many of which specify a minimum well above a single fitting — below it you get flicker, a dead band, or no strike at all. ⭐ Tell us the dimmer and we will confirm compatibility first.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
It dims by TRIAC. The rest of the family dims by DALI or not at all, and TRIAC is the ordinary mains dimmer already on most walls. That is the practical difference between a commercial and a domestic installation: DALI needs a control system, a control cable to each fitting and someone to commission it; TRIAC needs a dimmer switch.
The load. 10W is very little for a mains dimmer, and many TRIAC dimmers specify a minimum load well above a single 10W fitting — below it you get flicker, a dead band at the bottom of the range, or a fitting that will not strike at all. Several panels on one dimmer solves it; one panel on its own is the case to check.
Tell us the dimmer you intend to use and we will confirm compatibility before you order. TRIAC compatibility is genuinely brand-specific, and it is not something to discover after the ceiling is closed. It is a two-minute conversation that prevents the most common fault on a dimmed LED install.
Not as published, and the distinction is worth understanding. There are two flicker questions and they are not the same one. At full output, flicker comes from driver ripple and harmonic distortion — which the harmonic filter addresses, and that is what removes rolling bands on camera. When dimmed, flicker comes from the interaction between dimmer and driver, shows as visible pulsing especially at low levels, and nothing published addresses it. On a fitting sold specifically for dimming, that is the gap worth naming.
300 x 300mm — its single variant is named "303", which is the module size used as a variant name. That is not obvious to a reader, and no dimensions are published in the fields, so it is worth stating plainly.
No lumen figure is published. At the family's measured 88 to 94 lumens per watt, 10W suggests roughly 880 to 940 lumens. That is an inference from the 300 x 600 sibling rather than a published figure, so treat it as a guide and ask us if the number matters.
No IP rating is published on this listing, which means we cannot say it is suitable. The other panels in the family are IP20, dry interior only, and it would be reasonable to assume the same here — but on a wet-area question an assumption is not good enough. Ask us and we will confirm with Domus.
