The Domus OMEGA-17 SM is a surface-mounted aluminium LED profile, sold per metre — 17 × 15 mm, with an OPAL PMMA diffuser and end caps, in three finishes.

⭐ One spare diffuser covers two ranges — which matters on a big job
  • ⭐ Omega-17 and Nova-17 share a 17 mm width and differ only in depth. ⭐ A diffuser slides into the channel across its WIDTH — ⭐ depth sits behind it and never touches it. ⭐ So a single diffuser part number fits both.
  • ⭐ On a fitout using both profiles — deep Omega where runs are seen, shallow Nova where the joinery is thin — that means ONE spare part rather than two.
  • ⭐ And the diffuser is the part most worth holding. ⭐ It is plastic, it is the exposed face, and it goes in before the remaining trades finish — ⚠ so it is the part that gets scratched, stood on, or cut short. ⭐ The aluminium extrusion behind it rarely needs replacing.

Why does one diffuser fit two different profiles?

Because Omega-17 and Nova-17 share a 17mm width and differ only in depth. A diffuser slides into the channel across its width — the depth sits behind it and never touches it. So a single diffuser part number fits both ranges.

What do you need from me when I order?

Can I use a cheaper strip with this?

This is the profile that makes that survivable. It is the deepest profile with the most diffusing face, which makes it the most forgiving pairing Domus offers — where a shallow profile with a low-density strip shows every LED. Domus publishes no LED density guidance, so tell us the strip and we will say whether it works.

Can I recess it?

No — there is no recessed Omega-17 in the catalogue. For a flush finish, the Nova-20 or Nova-24 at 11mm deep is the nearest option, and pairing it with a denser strip recovers some of the blending you give up.

How long can one piece be?

3m maximum continuous length. Longer runs use multiple pieces with a joint, and where that joint falls is worth deciding at design stage — over a cabinet division or at a corner rather than mid-span, since a joint on a lit line is what the eye finds.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
