The Domus OMEGA-17 SM is a surface-mounted aluminium LED profile — 17 × 15 mm, 3 m, with an OPAL PMMA diffuser and end caps, in three finishes.

⛔ Its title says both “P/M” and “3M” — the order code settles it
  • ⭐ “P/M” means per metre. “3M” means a three-metre length. ⛔ A listing cannot be both, and this title carries both.

Is this sold per metre or as a 3 metre length?

As a 3 metre length. The title carries both "P/M" and "3M", which cannot both be true, and the order code settles it: LP-1715-SM-O-3M. So the "P/M" in the title does not belong.

Why does that matter?

Because a buyer scanning the four Omega-17 titles would reasonably conclude there is no 3m opal option — the only opal title containing "3M" also says "P/M", which makes it look like a per-metre listing. There is a 3m opal. This is it.

Is anything actually missing from the range?

No. Laid out by order code the family is a tidy two by two: black and opal, each in 3m and per-metre. All four exist. Only this one title is wrong, and the product behind it is exactly what you would expect.

What makes this the most even option?

Two things make a strip read as a continuous line rather than a row of dots: depth between the LEDs and the diffuser, and how much the diffuser scatters. Does that let me use a cheaper strip?

To a degree, yes. A denser strip blends at less depth, and conversely more depth and more diffusion tolerate a lower-density strip. This combination will handle a lower-density, cheaper strip better than any other profile in the Domus range. Tell us the strip and we will confirm it works.

Can I recess it?

No — there is no recessed Omega-17 in the catalogue, so the range is surface-mounted only. If you need a flush finish the Nova-20 or Nova-24 at 11mm deep is the nearest alternative, and pairing it with a denser strip buys back some of the blending.

How long a run can I have in one piece?

3m. A 5m run is two lengths with one joint between them, and where that joint falls is a design decision rather than an installer's — over a cabinet division or at a corner rather than mid-span, because a joint on a continuous lit line is the thing the eye finds.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Cancellations
