Domus MURO-PRO-30S Spotlight With Sensor

The Domus MURO-PRO-30S is a 30 W twin-head exterior spotlight with a built-in motion sensor, in die-cast aluminium with a glass cover, switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K, in black, dark grey or white.

Our product record says only that a sensor is fitted. The datasheet gives the numbers that decide whether it will actually work for you:

✅ All three are adjustable, and all three matter. A sensor with a fixed 30-second delay and no lux control is the kind that switches on at dusk and irritates the neighbours.

Setting it so it does not become a nuisance

• Aim the heads and the sensor separately. Point the light where you need to see and the sensor at the approach — so it is already on when someone arrives, not switching on once they are under it.
• ⚠ 180° at 12 m is a wide catchment. A road, a neighbour's path, a washing line or a large dog will all trigger it. Angle the sensor down and away from anything that moves on its own.
• ✅ Start the delay short and the lux threshold dark, then lengthen the delay if the light keeps dropping out while you are still there.

The light itself

• 1,900 lm at 3000 K, 2,100 lm at 4000 K, 2,000 lm at 5000 K from 30 W across two heads.
• 120° spread — a wide wash rather than a beam. ✅ Two heads at 120° each is what covers a whole driveway or back yard; ⛔ it is not the fitting for picking out a tree.
• Bridgelux LEDs, CRI ≥80, 30,000 hours.
• ⛔ Not dimmable. The colour switch is a dip switch set at installation, not a control.

Built for the weather

• Die-cast aluminium with a glass cover and ABS detailing. ⚠ Our record lists the material as aluminium alone; the datasheet gives all three.
• ✅ Glass rather than polycarbonate is the right choice outdoors — it does not yellow or craze under UV, which is what makes cheap exterior fittings look tired after three summers.
• 295 × 187 × 198 mm. ⚠ Noticeably bigger than the non-sensor version (249 × 187 × 137 mm) — the sensor adds real bulk, and on a narrow wall or beside a door frame that matters.

Choosing the colour outdoors

• 3000 K — a house entry, a courtyard, anywhere the light should read as domestic.
• 4000 K — the brightest here, and the right choice over a driveway or a yard where you want the area to read clearly.
• ⚠ 5000 K — security and commercial. On a house it will read as a car park.

Where it works

• ✅ Driveways, back yards, side paths and garage approaches — twin heads at 120°.
• ✅ Where you arrive with your hands full — the sensor is the point.
• ✅ Sheltered positions: under an eave, on a wall out of driving rain.
• ⛔ Not a narrow beam — ask us for a spike light to uplight a tree.
• ⛔ Not dimmable, and ⛔ not over an outdoor dining area — it will switch off while people sit still.
• ⚠ Confirm the IP rating with us if it forms part of a specification.
