The Domus MURO-MAX-32S is a 32 W twin-head exterior spotlight with a slimline sensor in black or white — IP65, 3,600 lumens, CRI above 90, die-cast aluminium with a glass cover.
✅ The high-output member of the MURO family, and a different build from the ECO. Where the MURO-ECO is polycarbonate at 20 W and 2,100 lm, this is die-cast aluminium and glass at 32 W and 3,600 lm — a genuinely brighter, heavier fitting.
⚠ That makes the coastal question the other way round. The ECO's polycarbonate cannot corrode; aluminium can, at the coating edges. If salt is close, the ECO is the better body even though this one is brighter. Ask us.
⚠ The detection angle is not the beam angle. The sensor sees 180°; the light covers 100°.
Two independently aimable heads on one backplate, and the common mistake is pointing both at the same place:
IP65 — dust tight and protected against water jets, so driving rain and hosing are within rating. Die-cast aluminium with a glass cover, which is more robust than polycarbonate and holds its finish longer away from salt. 30,000 hours, not dimmable — no real loss on a sensor light. Colour set on a dip switch at the back, before installation. Warranty 3 years.
Twin head, die-cast aluminium with a glass cover, black or white. 32 W COB LED giving 3,500 / 3,600 / 3,300 lm at 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K, dip switch at the back; CRI >90, beam 100°, 30,000 hrs, not dimmable. Sensor: 180° detection to about 12 m; duration adjustable 10 s–4 min; lux threshold adjustable daylight to night. 240 V AC, IP65. Warranty 3 years.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Output and build. The ECO is polycarbonate at 20 W and 2,100 lumens; this is die-cast aluminium with a glass cover at 32 W and 3,600 lumens. Brighter and more robust — but for a coastal site the ECO is actually the better choice, because polycarbonate cannot corrode where aluminium can at the coating edges.
No — 100°. The 180° figure is the sensor’s detection angle, which is a different specification. The sensor sees 180° to about 12 metres; the light covers 100°.
Aim it down and inward rather than straight out, or the 12-metre reach catches the footpath and the neighbour’s driveway. Set the lux threshold to night so it does not arm on an overcast afternoon. Start the duration in the middle of its 10-second to 4-minute range.
Two things. Planting reads green rather than grey — most exterior fittings sit in the seventies and the difference is obvious once you have seen it. And security footage becomes useful: a camera can only record the colour the light provides, and under a low-CRI floodlight a red car and a brown one look the same.
At 3,600 lumens across two heads with a 100° beam it lights a driveway, a whole back yard or a work area rather than just an entry. It is bright enough to be a nuisance if aimed badly, so look at the result from a neighbour’s boundary before you leave.
Split them — one across the driveway and one down the side path gives two useful pools from one wiring point. Overlap them only where you want shadows killed, such as above a back door. Aim them at night; a daytime guess is almost always wrong.
No, and on a sensor light that is no real loss — it is either on because something moved, or off.
