Domus MURO-MAX-32S - 32W LED High Output Tri-Colour Twin Head Exterior Spotlight With Slimline Sensor IP6

The Domus MURO-MAX-32S is a 32 W twin-head exterior spotlight with a slimline sensor in black or white — IP65, 3,600 lumens, CRI above 90, die-cast aluminium with a glass cover.

3,600 lumens — what it covers

• 3,500 lm at 3000 K, 3,600 lm at 4000 K, 3,300 lm at 5000 K.
• 112 lm/W — efficient, and better than most exterior fittings.
• With a 100° beam across two heads it lights a driveway, a whole back yard or a work area, not just an entry.
• ⚠ It is bright enough to be a nuisance. Aim it down and inward, and look at the result from a neighbour's boundary before you leave.

✅ CRI above 90 — rare outdoors, and it matters for two reasons

• Planting reads green rather than grey. Most exterior fittings sit in the seventies, and the difference at night is obvious once you have seen it.
• Security footage becomes useful. A camera can only record the colour the light provides — under a low-CRI floodlight a red car and a brown one look the same.

Setting the sensor so it does not annoy you

• Detection: 180°, about 12 m. ⚠ That reach will catch the footpath and the neighbour's driveway if you aim it straight out. Aim it down and inward.
• Duration: adjustable, about 10 seconds to 4 minutes. Start in the middle.
• Lux threshold: adjustable, daylight to night. Set it to night, or it triggers on an overcast afternoon.

⚠ The detection angle is not the beam angle. The sensor sees 180°; the light covers 100°.

Twin heads — split them

Two independently aimable heads on one backplate, and the common mistake is pointing both at the same place:

• Split the coverage — one across the driveway, one down the side path. Two useful pools from one wiring point.
• Overlap deliberately only where you want shadows killed — above a back door or a work bench.
• ⚠ Aim at night. A daytime guess is almost always wrong.

Where it works

• Driveways, back yards, work areas and commercial frontages.
• Where planting is lit, or a camera is watching — CRI 90+.
• Exposed positions — IP65.
• ⚠ For a coastal site, the polycarbonate MURO-ECO is the better body.
• ⚠ Aim the sensor down and inward, and set the lux threshold to night.
