The Domus LP-0809-RC is a recessed aluminium mounting profile for LED strip, sold per metre — supplied with a flat opal PMMA diffuser and end caps, in three finishes.

⭐ “C/W Opal Diff & Ec” means complete with the diffuser and end caps — ⛔ NOT with an LED strip, and not with a driver. ⭐ Both are separate purchases: a PLEX-MICRO-8W strip, and a remote driver — ⭐ 8 W per metre, so size the driver on the run length and add headroom.

Because the specification block is missing from it. Four Micro profile listings exist — recessed and surface, per-metre and 3m — and only one of the four carries a spec block. This one runs 965 characters against the 3m recessed listing's 1660, and the extra 700 is the entire technical record: material grade, actual profile size, diffuser type, compatible strip and driver requirement.

So where do the figures on this page come from?

From the 3m listing, because it is the same profile. LP-0809-RC per metre and LP-0809-RC-3M are one extrusion sold two ways, so every figure there applies here. That distinction matters: it is a listing gap rather than a product gap, so nothing needs to be asked of Domus — it needs to be copied across.

What is the difference between the per-metre and 3m listings?

Less than the two listings suggest. The 3m listing's own text says "Profile sold per metre. Can be cut to any length up to 3m" — so both are sold by the metre and both are cut to order. The practical difference is how you are quoting: one continuous piece under 3m, or a metreage across several runs. Tell us the run lengths and we will work out which prices it properly.

Does it come with an LED strip?

No, and neither does any of the four. "C/W Opal Diff & Ec" means complete with the opal diffuser and end caps. You also need a PLEX-MICRO-8W strip and a remote driver, both separate. The strip draws 8 watts per metre, so size the driver on your run length and add headroom.

What groove size do I need?

10.9mm, plus tolerance — the profile measures W10.9mm x H9.1mm. The 8x9mm in the title is the strip channel inside it. Routing to 8mm produces a groove the profile will not enter, which on recessed joinery cannot be corrected afterwards.

Is there a warranty?

None is published on any of the four Micro profile listings. That is a genuine gap rather than a copied-across one — the 3m listing does not carry a warranty either, so there is nothing to bring over. Ask us and we will get it from Domus.

Can I run more than 3 metres?

Not in one continuous piece — 3000mm is the maximum continuous length. Longer runs are made from multiple lengths with a joint, and where that joint falls is worth deciding deliberately rather than leaving to the installer, since it is the one place the line of light is interrupted.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
