The Domus Maxi Curve is a 2.4 m suspended LED linear pendant — 48 W, 4320 lm, 3000 K at CRI90, dimmable, in a white body, in six finishes.
Domus asks you to call and confirm it. ⭐ We will.
| Arrangement | What it does | Watch for |
|---|---|---|
| ⭐ Concentric — the arc echoes the table edge | ⭐ Reads as a deliberate pair, and lights the outer seating well | ⚠ Leaves the centre of the table darker |
| ⭐ Across the centre — the arc bows over the middle | ⭐ Lights the centre and reads as a gesture | ⚠ The ends overhang the table, and the sweep is only legible from two sides |
⭐ 2.4 m of arc suits a table of about 3.6 m in its long dimension, or ⭐ a round table of roughly 1.8 m diameter if arranged concentrically. ⚠ 4320 lm at full is serving light; ⭐ dimmed to about a fifth it suits a set table. ⭐ Take OPAL — ⭐ on a curve over a table people look along the sweep from the outer seats, and opal is the most uniform face of the six.

Order code MAXI-CURVE-2.4M-W-3K. ⭐ OVER A ROUND TABLE THE ARC CANNOT FOLLOW ANYTHING — a circle has no line to follow, so it has to RELATE to the circle instead. ⭐ CONCENTRIC echoes the table edge and lights the outer seating, at the cost of a darker centre; ⭐ ACROSS THE CENTRE lights the middle but overhangs the ends and only reads from two sides. ⭐ Concentric is safer on a dining table. ⚠ Both need the radius.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Differently from over a bar. Over a curved bar the fitting follows the counter — same centre, similar radius, sitting above the working line. Over a round table it cannot follow anything, because a circle has no line to follow. The arc has to relate to the circle instead, and there are two ways to do that which look completely different.
Concentric, where the arc echoes the table edge — it reads as a deliberate pair and lights the outer seating well, at the cost of a darker centre. Or across the centre, where the arc bows over the middle — it lights the centre and reads as a gesture, but the ends overhang the table and the sweep is only legible from two sides.
Concentric, usually, on a dining table. People sit around the edge and that is where the light is wanted, and a darker centre is a table centre rather than a working surface. Across the centre suits a display or a meeting table better than a dining one. Both need the radius: concentric needs it close to the table's own, and across-the-centre needs the chord to fit within the table's width.
Yes — the problem softens considerably, because an oval already has a long axis to align to, and an arc along that axis reads naturally. You are no longer trying to relate a curve to a circle; you are placing a curve along a direction the table already has. If your table is oval rather than round, this range is a much more comfortable fit.
About 3.6m in its long dimension for an oval or rectangular table, or a round table of roughly 1.8m diameter if arranged concentrically. Note that 2400mm is the arc length — the straight run it occupies is shorter, and by how much depends on the radius. Ask us for the chord.
Opal. On a curve over a table people look along the sweep from the outer seats, and that shallow angle is exactly what exposes unevenness in a diffuser face — opal is the densest and most uniform of the six. Prismatic and honeycomb are workplace optics and read technical over dining.
Yes. 4320 lumens at full output is serving light rather than dining light — dimmed to roughly a fifth it suits a set table. It ships with an integral dimmable driver, but the minimum level is not published, and over a dining table that is the figure that decides the evening. Tell us your control.

| ⭐ Over a curved BAR | The fitting FOLLOWS the counter |
| ⭐ Over a ROUND table | It cannot follow anything — ⭐ a circle has no line to follow |
| ⭐ So the arc must RELATE | And there are two ways, which look completely different |
| ⭐ CONCENTRIC | Echoes the table edge · lights the outer seating — ⚠ darker centre |
| ⭐ ACROSS THE CENTRE | Lights the middle — ⚠ ends overhang, and it reads from only two sides |
| ⭐ Safer on a dining table | CONCENTRIC — ⭐ people sit at the edge, and a dark centre is a table centre |
| ⚠ Both need the radius | ⭐ Concentric close to the table's · across-centre needs the chord to fit |
| ⭐ An OVAL table is easier | ⭐ It already has a long axis for the arc to align to |
| ⭐ 2.4m arc suits | ≈3.6m long axis · ⭐ or a ≈1.8m round table concentrically |
| ⭐ Finish | OPAL — ⭐ outer seats look ALONG the sweep |
| Table | Arrangement | Verdict |
|---|---|---|
| ⭐ Round | Concentric | ✅ Safer — ⚠ darker centre |
| ⚠ Round | Across the centre | ⚠ Overhangs, reads from two sides |
| ⭐ Oval | Along the long axis | ⭐ The most natural fit |
