The Domus Maxi Curve is a 2.4 m suspended LED linear pendant — 48 W, 4800 lm, 4000 K at CRI90, dimmable, in an aluminium body, in six finishes.

⭐ Two suspension points on an arc — a different setting-out problem
  • ⭐ A 2.4 m fitting takes two suspension points. ⭐ On a straight pendant those sit on a line, and an installer can measure from a wall.
  • ⚠ If this fitting curves in plan, they do not sit on a line — ⭐ they sit on the arc, which means they are offset from each other in BOTH directions.
  • ⭐ So the setting-out needs two coordinates per point rather than one dimension, ⭐ and it has to be right in plan before the ceiling closes — ⚠ a point in the wrong place does not just shift the fitting, it rotates it.
  • ⛔ And the spacing is not published on any listing in either range — ⭐ so an installer has nothing to set out from at all.
  • ⭐ What to ask for: the point spacing, and whether it is given as a straight dimension or as coordinates on the arc. ⭐ That second half is the question people forget, and it is the one that decides whether a drawing can be produced.
⚠ And a consequence for hanging level

What is different about suspending a curved fitting?

The setting-out. A 2.4m fitting takes two suspension points, and on a straight pendant those sit on a line so an installer can measure from a wall. If this fitting curves in plan they do not sit on a line — they sit on the arc, which means they are offset from each other in both directions. So the drawing needs two coordinates per point rather than one dimension.

Why does that matter more than on a straight fitting?

Because a point in the wrong place does not just shift the fitting, it rotates it. On a straight pendant a mis-set point moves the fitting along its axis and the result still looks like a straight pendant. On an arc it changes the orientation of the whole sweep, which is immediately visible. And it has to be right before the ceiling closes.

What should I ask for?

The suspension-point spacing, and — the half people forget — whether it is given as a straight dimension or as coordinates on the arc. That second part decides whether a drawing can be produced at all. The spacing is not published on any listing in either range, so an installer currently has nothing to set out from.

Does the curve affect hanging level?

How much light does it give?

4800 lumens at 2000 lumens per metre, or 100 lumens per watt from 48W — the most any fitting in the three linear ranges gives, being the longest length at the more efficient colour temperature. The 3000K version publishes 4320 lumens.

Can I use it in a damp space?

No — IP20, dry interior only. For bathrooms, covered outdoor areas, commercial kitchens or unsealed bays, ask us about the Domus IMPACT range at IP66 and IK10.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
