The Domus Maxi Curve is a 2.4 m suspended LED linear pendant — 48 W, 4320 lm, 3000 K at CRI90, dimmable, in an aluminium body, in six finishes.
Domus asks you to call and confirm it. ⭐ We will.
| If the radius is… | The chord is | Shorter by |
|---|---|---|
| 6 m — a very gentle sweep | ≈2384 mm | ⭐ 16 mm — negligible |
| 4 m | ≈2364 mm | 36 mm |
| 3 m | ≈2337 mm | 63 mm |
| 2 m | ≈2259 mm | ⚠ 141 mm |
| 1.5 m — a tight arc | ≈2152 mm | ⛔ 248 mm — a quarter of a metre |
⭐ The light and the load. ⭐ 4320 lm and 48 W hold however the fitting is shaped — ⭐ the strip is the same length either way, which is why 48 W ÷ 20 W/m gives exactly 2.4 m. ⭐ So you can size circuits and calculate levels now, ⚠ and resolve the geometry separately.

2.4 m suspended LED linear pendant. 4320 lm, 48 W (90 lm/W), 3000 K, CRI90. 120° down-only. IP20. 2400 mm stated. 3 m drop. PLEX-COB-20W strip, integral dimmable driver, DALI and emergency on request. Anodised aluminium body. Six finishes. 3-year replacement warranty. Order code MAXI-CURVE-2.4M-A-3K. ⭐ THE SPACE IT OCCUPIES IS BETWEEN 2.15m AND 2.4m, AND THE RADIUS DECIDES WHERE — at a gentle 6m radius the chord is 16mm shorter than the stated length; at a tight 1.5m radius it is 248mm shorter, a quarter of a metre. ⭐ So the radius is the question to ask, not because a figure is missing but because the published one means different things depending on it. ✅ The 4320 lm and 48 W are unaffected either way.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Somewhere between about 2.15m and 2.4m of straight run, and the radius decides where in that band. Domus publishes 2400mm, which on a curved fitting is the length along the fitting; what you set out against a table or a wall is the chord — the straight distance between its two ends — and the chord is always shorter.
It depends entirely on the radius, and the size of the uncertainty is worth seeing. At a very gentle 6m radius the chord is about 2384mm — 16mm shorter, negligible. At 4m it is 36mm shorter, at 3m 63mm, at 2m 141mm. At a tight 1.5m radius it is about 2152mm, which is 248mm shorter — a quarter of a metre.
Ask us for the radius and we will give you the chord. The point is not that a figure is missing; it is that the figure Domus does publish means different things depending on the radius. On a gentle curve you can treat 2400mm as the setting-out dimension and be within a fingernail. On a tight one you would be out by a quarter of a metre, which over a 3.6m table changes the proportion visibly.
The light and the load. 4320 lumens and 48W hold however the fitting is shaped, because the strip is the same length either way — which is why 48W divided by 20 watts per metre gives exactly 2.4m. So you can size circuits and calculate levels now and resolve the geometry separately. That is a useful split: the electrical design is not waiting on anything.
4320 lumens at 1800 lumens per metre, or 90 lumens per watt from 48W, at 3000K and CRI90. The 4000K version publishes 4800 lumens for the same power — about 11% more. Those are the same figures the Maxi 40 and Maxi 50 publish at this length.
Opal where the fitting is seen close and side-on, since it gives the most uniform face; frosted above head height for more output; prismatic over screens, which redirects shallow-angle light downward and keeps it. Per-finish output is not published — one figure covers the listing.
No — IP20, dry interior only. For bathrooms, covered outdoor areas, commercial kitchens or unsealed bays, ask us about the Domus IMPACT range at IP66 and IK10.
