The Domus Maxi Curve is a 1.7 m suspended LED linear pendant — 34 W, 3400 lm, 4000 K at CRI90, dimmable, in an aluminium body, in six finishes.
Domus asks you to call and confirm it. ⭐ We will.
| Finish | Take it for |
|---|---|
| Opal | ⭐ The most uniform face — ⭐ where the fitting is seen close and side-on |
| Frosted | ⭐ More output — ⭐ above head height |
| Prismatic | ⭐ Screens — ⭐ it redirects rather than absorbs, so the light is kept |
| Black | ⭐ The fitting vanishing when it is off |
| Clear | ⚠ Above the eye line only — ⭐ a continuous lit bar on this COB engine |
⛔ Per-finish output is not published — ⭐ one figure covers the listing.
| Specification | Value |
|---|---|
| Light output | ⭐ 3400 lm — 100 lm/W |
| Colour rendering | ⭐ CRI90 at 4000 K |
| Power / stated length | 34 W at 240 V · 1700 mm — ⚠ arc or chord unstated |
| Beam | 120° recorded — ⚠ a range default across all six finishes |

1.7 m suspended LED linear pendant. 3400 lm, 34 W (100 lm/W), 4000 K, CRI90. IP20. 1700 mm stated. 3 m drop. PLEX-COB-20W strip, integral dimmable driver, DALI and emergency on request. Anodised aluminium body. Six finishes. 3-year replacement warranty. Order code MAXI-CURVE-1.7M-A-4K. ⭐ FIVE OF THE SIX FINISHES BEHAVE EXACTLY AS THEY DO ON A STRAIGHT FITTING. ⭐⭐ THE HONEYCOMB MAY NOT: a cellular baffle blocks light above a cut-off angle measured relative to the fitting's own axis, and if the fitting curves in plan that axis rotates along its length — so each segment shields from a slightly different direction. ⚠ Whether that matters depends on a radius nobody publishes. ⭐ For screens here, take PRISMATIC, which is unaffected.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Five of the six do not. Prismatic redirects shallow-angle light downward, frosted and opal diffuse at different densities, black tints and clear does not diffuse at all — none of those depends on the shape of the fitting. The honeycomb is the exception.
Because a cellular baffle blocks light above a cut-off angle measured relative to the fitting's own axis, and if the fitting curves in plan that axis rotates along its length. So the direction it is shielding from changes as you move along the fitting: on a straight run a honeycomb shields consistently from the same directions, while on an arc each segment shields from a slightly different one.
It depends entirely on the radius, which is not published. On a gentle curve the effect would be negligible; on a tight one it would not. And if the curve is in section rather than plan, none of it arises — the axis stays straight and the honeycomb behaves normally. So if you are specifying a honeycomb here for glare control, ask us about the geometry first.
Prismatic, which is unaffected by the geometry. It refracts shallow-angle light back towards the vertical rather than blocking it directionally, so the mechanism does not depend on the fitting axis — and it has the advantage of keeping the light rather than absorbing it. It is the efficient answer where the honeycomb is the thorough one.
Opal for the most uniform face where the fitting is seen close and side-on; frosted for more output above head height; black if you want the fitting to vanish when it is off; and clear only above the eye line, where on this COB engine it reads as a continuous lit bar rather than a row of points. Per-finish output is not published — one figure covers the listing.
3400 lumens at 2000 lumens per metre, or 100 lumens per watt from 34W, at 4000K and CRI90. The 3000K version publishes 3060 lumens for the same power. Those figures are unaffected by the geometry question — the load and output hold however the fitting is shaped.
No. It is recorded identically for all six finishes, which cannot be true across a set including a cellular baffle and a clear lens. It is a range default rather than a per-finish measurement, and on a curved fitting the distribution question is more complicated still. Ask us before setting out a run.
