Questions
What is the difference between the Maxi 40, Maxi 50 and Maxi Curve?

Not performance. All three publish identical figures at every length — 2160 or 2400 lumens at 1.2m, 3060 or 3400 at 1.7m, 4320 or 4800 at 2.4m, plus CRI90, IP20, a 120 degree down-only beam, a 3m drop, the same engine and the same 3-year replacement warranty. The differences are the finish list, the diffuser-type axis and the geometry.

So how do I choose?

Three questions. Do you want a honeycomb or opal finish? Take the Maxi 50 or the Curve — the Maxi 40 does not offer them. Do you want a flat, high or low profile? Take the Maxi 40, though its output is identical across all three so that is an appearance and mounting-depth choice. Do you want the curve? Ask us first, because nothing published says what it is.

Does switching between them cost me anything?

Nothing. Same load, same output, same colour quality, same drop and same beam — so a sized circuit and a calculated layout hold across all three ranges. If you have designed for one and want to change, nothing in the electrical or lighting design needs revisiting.

Do the names tell me the size?

No. "40" and "50" imply a size difference and nothing published supports one — no Maxi 50 or Curve listing records a profile diameter, and the one Maxi 40 listing that does records Ø50mm. We will not guess what the numbers refer to. There is also a separate Domus "MAX-50" profile range, which is a different product family with datasheets on every listing, so check which name a quote or drawing is referring to.

Which range is easiest to order from?

The Maxi 50 and the Curve, equally — each sells 18 combinations as exactly 18 listings with no gaps, no merged pages and no title typos. The Maxi 40 needs 53 listings for 54 combinations, has one listing selling two colour temperatures, and has two title typos. On cataloguing grounds alone the shorter ranges are cleaner.

How much light does it give?

2400 lumens at 2000 lumens per metre, or 100 lumens per watt from 24W, at 4000K and CRI90. The 3000K version gives 2160 lumens for the same power — about 11% less, which is ordinary LED behaviour and is published for both.

Why black at 4000K?

It is the exposed-services combination: a black body joins bare or dark structure instead of fighting it, where a white pendant would be the loudest object in the room, and 4000K keeps it a working position rather than a bar. It is also the more efficient of the two.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
