What is actually curved about it?

Nothing published says, and we checked properly rather than assuming. We read all 18 Maxi Curve listings: not one uses the word "curved", "radius", "arc", "curvature", "bend", "chord", "circular" or "segment". No metafield carries it either, and there is no datasheet. So the range is named for a feature its own documentation never describes.

Why does that matter to me?

Because the two possibilities are completely different products to specify. If it curves in plan — an arc — the fitting sweeps sideways, and you would need a radius, a chord width and an orientation to set it out; two arcs facing opposite ways look completely different. If it curves in section — a rounded diffuser face on a straight fitting — it needs nothing extra and installs exactly like the Maxi 50. You cannot tell which from anything published.

What should I do about it?

Ask us before specifying it. One question to Domus settles which it is for all 18 listings, and until it is answered we would not put this on a drawing — a fitting that turns out to be an arc when you drew it straight is not a detail you can fix on site. If the geometry does not matter to your job, everything else about the fitting is fully documented.

Is the rest of the record thin too?

No, and that is the odd part. The performance record is as complete as any in this catalogue: 2160 lumens, CRI90, IP20, a 120 degree down-only beam, a 1200mm length, a 3m suspension drop, the light engine, DALI and emergency options, and a 3-year replacement warranty are all published. It is only the geometry the range is named for that is missing.

How much light does it give?

2160 lumens at 1800 lumens per metre, or 90 lumens per watt from 24W, at 3000K and CRI90. The 4000K version publishes 2400 lumens for the same power — about 11% more. Those are the same figures the Maxi 40 and Maxi 50 publish at this length.

What finishes does it come in?

Six — prismatic, frosted, honeycomb, opal, black and clear, the same set as the Maxi 50. Honeycomb is a cellular baffle for glare control and opal is the densest diffusion, giving the most uniform face. Per-finish output is not published; one figure covers the listing.

Can I use it in a damp space?

No — IP20, dry interior only. For bathrooms, covered outdoor areas, commercial kitchens or unsealed bays, ask us about the Domus IMPACT range at IP66 and IK10.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
