The Domus Maxi 50 is a 1.7 m suspended LED linear pendant — 34 W, 3400 lm, 4000 K at CRI90, dimmable, in a black body, in six finishes.
Domus asks you to call and confirm it. ⭐ We will.
| Keep constant | Why |
|---|---|
| Body colour | ⭐ The visual thread — ⚠ and powder-coat batches vary |
| Colour temperature | ⚠ A 3000 / 4000 K mix is visible across a room |
| Load arithmetic | ✅ Total metres × 20, whatever the finish or length |
| ⚠ Finish | ⭐ Vary by ROOM, never within a sightline |
| Specification | Value |

| Light output | ⭐ 3400 lm — 100 lm/W |
| Colour rendering | ⭐ CRI90 at 4000 K |

| Warranty | ⭐ 3 years, replacement |
| ⛔ Per-finish output · lifespan | ⛔ Not published — ⭐ which is what makes mixing risky |
1.7 m suspended LED linear pendant. 3400 lm, 34 W (100 lm/W), 4000 K, CRI90. IP20. 1700 mm. 3 m drop. PLEX-COB-20W strip, integral dimmable driver, DALI and emergency on request. Black powder-coated aluminium body. Six finishes. 3-year replacement warranty. Order code MAXI-50-1.7M-B-4K. ⭐ MIX FINISHES BY ROOM, NEVER WITHIN A SIGHTLINE — honeycomb over workstations, opal over the meeting table, frosted in the corridor is the range working as intended. ⛔ Two finishes visible at once will not match in brightness or appearance, and side by side that reads as a fault. ⚠ The risk is higher here because Domus publishes one output figure per listing, not one per finish — ⭐ so a mismatch cannot be dimmed back into line. ✅ The load rule survives any mix: total metres × 20.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Yes, by room. Honeycomb over the workstations, opal over the meeting table, frosted in the corridor — same body, same colour temperature, same visual language, each optic doing what that room needs. That is the range working as intended, and it is the main advantage of six finishes over four.
Two pendants visible at once with different finishes will not match in brightness or appearance, and side by side that reads as a fault rather than a decision. The risk is higher here than usual because Domus publishes one output figure per listing rather than one per finish — so you cannot compensate for a mismatch by adjusting the dimming level, since you do not know its size. The safe rule is one finish per sightline.
Body colour, because it is the visual thread and because powder-coat batches vary. Colour temperature, because a 3000K and 4000K mix is visible across a room and reads as a mistake. And order the whole project together — these are made to order with no published lead time, and a later batch is not guaranteed to match. The finish is the thing to vary, and only by room.
No, and that is the useful part. Every finish and every length draws exactly 20.0 watts per metre, so a mixed-finish, mixed-length project calculates in one line: total metres × 20. The same holds across the Maxi 40, so a project using both ranges still calculates the same way.
The honeycomb — a cellular baffle that blocks light above a cut-off angle, removing the high-angle component that reflects in a monitor. Prismatic is the efficient alternative: it redirects that light downward rather than absorbing it, so you keep the output. Frosted and opal scatter it but still emit it.
It is the exposed-services combination: a black body joins bare or dark structure instead of fighting it, where a white pendant would be the loudest object in the room, and 4000K keeps it a working position rather than a bar. It is also the more efficient of the two at 3400 lumens against 3060 for the same 34W.
The per-finish output, the rated lifespan, the suspension-point spacing and the weight. The per-finish output is the one that bears on this page directly — it is exactly what makes mixing finishes risky. Ask us and we will get the set from Domus.
