1.2 m suspended LED linear pendant. 2400 lm, 24 W (100 lm/W), 4000 K, CRI90. IP20. 1200 mm. 3 m drop. PLEX-COB-20W strip, integral dimmable driver, DALI and emergency on request. White powder-coated aluminium body. Six finishes. 3-year replacement warranty. Order code MAXI-50-1.2M-W-4K. ⛔ "FROSTED" AND "OPAL" BOTH RESOLVE TO 30532, and 30534 is absent — ⚠ the two hardest finishes to tell apart and the two most likely to be ordered. ⭐ TO CHECK WHICH ARRIVED, look at the UNLIT face: opal is a denser, more solid white. ⚠ Do not look for individual LEDs — the engine is a COB strip and the lit line is unbroken behind either.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
"Frosted" and "Opal" both resolve to SKU 30532, and 30534 — the code the sequence requires — is absent. Two of the 18 Maxi 50 listings carry this fault and both are at 1.2m. This is the awkward pairing: frosted and opal are the two hardest finishes to distinguish, since both give a white diffused face, and they are also the two most likely to be ordered.
Look at the unlit face — that is the more reliable tell. Opal is a denser, more solid white; frosted is lighter and slightly translucent. Lit, opal is marginally dimmer, but a difference of a few per cent is hard to judge by eye without the two side by side. What you should not do is look for individual LEDs, because there are none to find.
The engine is a PLEX-COB-20W strip — chip-on-board, meaning many small emitters under a single continuous phosphor layer rather than separately packaged LEDs spaced along a strip. So the lit line is unbroken behind either diffuser, and the usual trick of looking for dots or scalloping to identify a diffuser does not work here.
Before it goes up. Once a run is installed and wired, a finish swap is a made-to-order return on an unknown clock, since Domus publishes no lead time. Better still, tell us the finish in words when you order and we will confirm the code with Domus first.
Diffusion density, which trades smoothness against output. Opal is denser: the most uniform face, and it passes less light. Frosted is lighter: more output, and a slightly less even face at a shallow angle. The rule is opal where the fitting is seen close and side-on, frosted where it is above head height and the output matters. Neither figure is published per finish.
The honeycomb — a cellular baffle that blocks light above a cut-off angle, so it removes the high-angle output that reflects in a monitor rather than softening it. Prismatic is the efficient alternative, redirecting that light downward rather than absorbing it, so you keep the output.
No — IP20, dry interior only. For bathrooms, covered outdoor areas, commercial kitchens or unsealed bays, ask us about the Domus IMPACT range at IP66 and IK10.
