The Domus Maxi 50 is a 1.2 m suspended LED linear pendant — 24 W, 2160 lm, 3000 K at CRI90, dimmable, in a black body, in six finishes.

What is the difference between opal and frosted?

Is it about hiding the individual LEDs?

How much light does opal cost me?

Not published. Domus gives one output figure for the listing — 2160 lumens — rather than one per finish, so what we can tell you is the mechanism and the direction, not the number. If the decision turns on it, ask us and we will get the per-finish transmission from Domus.

Which finish over a bar or a booth?

Opal, usually. At 1.2m the fitting suits a short bar, a booth, a two-seat counter or a 1.8m table, and at that scale it sits close to the eye — which is where opal's uniformity earns its place. Clear is the wrong finish here, prismatic is a workplace optic that reads technical in a hospitality room, and honeycomb is a visible texture that does the same.

Why CRI90 at 3000K over a bar?

Because warm light and accurate colour usually pull against each other. Most commercial linear lighting at 3000K publishes CRI80, where reds flatten — and over a bar that is exactly what shows in a garnish, a cocktail or a cut of meat. CRI90 means the fitting that disappears against a dark ceiling also renders the food properly.

Do I need a dimmer?

Over a booth or a bar, yes. 2160 lumens at full output is a working light, right for prep and wrong for the evening. It ships with an integral dimmable driver and DALI is available on request, but the minimum level is not published. Tell us your control and the level you want during service and we will confirm both with Domus.

Can I use it in a damp space?

No — IP20, dry interior only. For bathrooms, covered outdoor areas, commercial kitchens or unsealed bays, ask us about the Domus IMPACT range at IP66 and IK10.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
