Does it look better too?

It stays one visual object as the table fills, which a row does not. Three pendants look ordered when the room is empty and cluttered when the table is set with glassware and centrepieces — the fittings start competing with what is on the table. A single line reads as architecture rather than as objects.

Will 2.4m suit my table?

It suits a table of about 3.6m — roughly two-thirds the length, which lights the surface evenly without overhanging the ends. For a longer table, two pendants with a deliberate gap read as a pair rather than a stretched single, and the gap should be half a fitting length or more.

Do I need a dimmer?

Yes. 4320 lumens at full output is serving light, not dining light — dimmed to roughly a fifth it suits a set table. It ships with an integral dimmable driver, but the minimum level Domus reaches is not published, and on a dining setting that is the figure that decides the evening. Which finish over a dining table?

Frosted. Clear over a 2.4m span is a long row of bright points above seated guests, which photographs well and is uncomfortable to sit under. Prismatic is a workplace optic designed to cut glare off monitors and reads technical in a dining room. Black is a tinted diffuser that absorbs light by an amount nobody publishes.

Why CRI90 over a dining table?

Because food is looked at closely, and CRI90 renders close to natural light so it reads correctly. At 3000K that is an unusual pairing — warm sources often lose colour accuracy, and most commercial linear at this colour temperature publishes CRI80, where reds flatten.

Why white rather than black at this length?

A white body disappears into a white or plasterboard ceiling, so what the room sees is the warm line rather than a 2.4m object. At this length that matters more than at shorter ones: a dark fitting on a light ceiling is a strong horizontal element, which is a deliberate design decision rather than a neutral one.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
