I found gaps in the aluminium high-diffuser range. Are there really gaps?

No — that is a spelling fault. Both 1.7m aluminium high-diffuser listings are spelt "Hight Diffuser" in the title and the web address, so a search misses them and a typed link 404s. Their order codes are MAXI-40-1.7M-HD-A-3K and -4K. This 2.4m listing is correctly spelt and so is the 1.2m one; only 2 listings of 843 carry the typo, so the combination is available at every length.

If I take a different length instead, do I lose anything?

Only the proportion. Every length runs the same PLEX-COB-20W strip at the same lumens per watt, so the 1.7m aluminium high version would give 3400 lumens against this one's 4800 — nothing about the optics, the colour rendering or the build differs. Choose the length that suits the surface, not the one you happened to be able to find.

What does the high diffuser change?

Not the output. Flat, high and low at this length and colour temperature all publish 4800 lumens and the same 120 degree beam, so the type is an appearance and mounting-depth choice. What it does change is not published; the convention in linear profiles is flush, raised or recessed, which we offer as a convention rather than a stated fact. Ask us for the profile drawings if it matters visually.

Can I draw this at Ø50mm?

Not without asking. Ø50mm is published on 30280, the low-diffuser sibling at this length, and it is the only listing of the 53 that records a diameter. If "high" means a raised diffuser the overall depth would be greater. The 2400mm length is published on every listing and is safe; the depth is not.

How much light does it give?

4800 lumens at 2000 lumens per metre, or 100 lumens per watt from 48W — which is the most one Maxi 40 fitting gives, being the longest length at the more efficient colour temperature. The 3000K version of the same fitting gives 4320 lumens.

Is aluminium right for this?

Against timber, concrete or exposed structure, yes. Against white plasterboard it is a 2.4m grey line, which at this length is a substantial visual element — the white listing is the one that recedes there. Aluminium is a finish to choose on purpose.

Can I use it in a damp space?

No — IP20, dry interior only. For bathrooms, covered outdoor areas, commercial kitchens or unsealed bays, ask us about the Domus IMPACT range at IP66 and IK10.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
