The Domus Maxi 40 is a 2.4 m suspended LED linear pendant — 48 W, 4800 lm, 4000 K at CRI90, dimmable, in an aluminium body with a flat diffuser.

How do I calculate a mixed-length floor?

Both ways, in one pass. Load is total metres times 20, so six four-person benches on 2.4m fittings and four two-person banks on 1.7m is (6 × 2.4 + 4 × 1.7) × 20 = 424W. Output at 4000K is (6 × 4800) + (4 × 3400) = 42,400 lumens. Both work because every length runs the same 20 watt per metre strip at the same lumens per watt for a given colour temperature.

Is there an efficiency penalty for mixing lengths?

No, and that is worth knowing because with many ranges the longer versions are slightly more or less efficient than the short ones. Here every length gives 100 lumens per watt at 4000K and 90 at 3000K, so you can size each bench module on its own merits without a lookup table or a compromise.

Can I turn the lumen total into a lux level?

Not from this page alone. The load figure is exact; the lumen figure is a starting point, and turning total lumens into lux needs the room's surfaces, its geometry and the mounting height — output falls off with the square of the distance. Tell us the floor plate, the ceiling height and the finishes and we will do it properly.

Which pendant for which bench?

1.2m for a single desk of about 1.8m at 2400 lumens; 1.7m for a two-person bank of about 2.5m at 3400 lumens; 2.4m for a four-person bench of about 3.6m at 4800 lumens. Those are the 4000K figures; at 3000K they are 2160, 3060 and 4320 respectively.

Is aluminium right against my ceiling?

Against timber, concrete or exposed structure, yes — a metal tube is sympathetic and reads as part of the palette. Against white plasterboard it is a 2.4m grey line, which is a statement if you meant it and unfortunate if you did not. The white listing recedes into that ceiling instead.

Which finish and which diffuser type over screens?

Take the prismatic finish — it refracts shallow-angle light back towards the vertical, which is what stops the fitting reflecting in a monitor. The diffuser type is not the lever: flat, high and low all publish 4800 lumens and the same 120 degree beam, so the type is an appearance and mounting-depth choice while the finish is what changes the optics.

Will it show as aluminium in a filter?

Yes, this one will — it is one of the 24 of 71 linear listings whose title contains the word and therefore records a material value. The catch is that all 71 are the same aluminium extrusion, and the 47 black and white listings record nothing. So the field tracks the title rather than the product, and a filter hides listings that are aluminium.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
