"Prismatic" and "Frosted" both resolve to SKU 30245, and 30246 — the code the sequence requires — is absent. It is a genuine break rather than a convention: 49 of the 53 Maxi 40 listings run their four variant SKUs consecutively with no repeats, and seven Domus products across four families carry the same fault.

Would I notice if the wrong one arrived?

Probably not, and that is what makes this pairing the awkward one. Prismatic and frosted both present as a diffused white face, so they are hard to tell apart on delivery — but they do genuinely different optical jobs. A wrong delivery does not announce itself; it surfaces months later as glare on screens. Elsewhere in the range the same fault pairs frosted with black, which are visibly unalike, so the error is caught immediately.

What is the actual difference between them?

Prismatic refracts shallow-angle light back towards the vertical, which is what stops the fitting reflecting in a monitor — the reflection you see is shallow-angle light from a fitting behind you. Frosted scatters instead: softer to look at, and it still emits that shallow-angle component. Over desks, prismatic is the one to use.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
