1.7 m suspended LED linear pendant. 3400 lm, 34 W (100 lm/W), 4000 K, CRI90. 120° down-only. IP20. 1700 mm. 3 m drop. PLEX-COB-20W strip, integral dimmable driver, DALI and emergency on request. Black body, flat diffuser. 3-year replacement warranty. Order code MAXI-40-1.7M-FD-B-4K. SKUs 30240–30243. 240 V. ⚠ IP20 DRAWS A CLEAR LINE THROUGH A WORKSHOP — dry assembly benches, workshop offices, mezzanines and inspection stations are fine; machining, grinding, washdown and loading areas are not, because IP2x is not dust-protected and the second digit is a zero. ⭐ Where it does belong, CRI90 is a working advantage: finish defects, colour-coded wiring and paint matching all read correctly.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
In the dry, dust-free parts, yes — assembly benches, workshop offices, mezzanines and inspection stations. Not in machining or grinding areas, washdown or parts-cleaning bays, or near a loading dock or roller door. It is IP20: the first digit means protection against solids above 12mm, which is fingers rather than dust, and the second digit is a zero, meaning no water protection at all.
The Domus IMPACT range, which is IP66 and IK10 — dust-tight, hose-proof and impact-rated. It is a different product family built for exactly those conditions, so the substitution is straightforward rather than a compromise. A suspended pendant on a floor with vehicle traffic is also a collision risk regardless of rating.
On an inspection or QA bench it is a working advantage. Finish defects, colour-coded wiring and paint matching all read correctly under CRI90, where CRI80 flattens exactly the distinctions you are looking for — reds and browns in particular. Most commercial linear lighting settles for CRI 80 or better, including the Domus MAX-50 profile range, so this is a genuine step up for inspection work.
3400 lumens at 4000K over a 2.5m bench is a good task level, and the 120 degree beam gives an even wash across the surface rather than a pool in the middle. Two of these over a 5m bench run is 6800 lumens from 68W. For close inspection work you might supplement with task lighting at the bench itself, but as general bench lighting it is well matched.
Neutral white renders materials and finishes honestly, where 3000K warms everything and makes colour judgement harder — which defeats the point of choosing a CRI90 fitting for inspection. It is also the more efficient option here at 3400 lumens against 3060 for the same 34W.
A 3m drop, shortened on site, which covers workshop ceilings up to about 4m at a sensible bench height. Above that you run out and should ask us. The suspension-point spacing and the weight are not published, and both matter before the ceiling or the structure is fixed.
Three years, replacement type — the right cover for an integrated LED with no serviceable lamp. The rated lifespan is not published, which is the one gap in an otherwise complete specification and matters for a maintenance schedule rather than the purchase.
