Is it bright enough for a desk bank?

Yes — 3400 lumens at 100 lumens per watt over 1.7m, which suits a two-person bank at about two-thirds of a 2.5m run. Choosing 4000K over 3000K is worth about 11% more light for the same 34W, and it is the right colour for desk work anyway, so there is no trade-off to weigh here.

Will it control glare over screens?

Take the prismatic finish, which refracts shallow-angle light back towards the vertical rather than scattering it — that is the mechanism that reduces the reflection you see in a monitor. What is not published is a UGR figure, on this or any Domus linear listing. If your specification names a UGR limit, ask us before committing; it is one question to Domus and better asked now than at submission.

Is aluminium right for an office?

Only with the right ceiling. Against timber, concrete or exposed structure a metal body is sympathetic and reads as part of the palette. Against white plasterboard it is a 1.7m grey line, and the white listing is the one that recedes there. It is a finish to choose on purpose rather than by habit.

Can it work with our control system?

DALI is available on request, alongside the integral dimmable driver that ships as standard. It is an ordered variant rather than a setting, so the decision has to be made before the order goes in — and on a made-to-order fitting with no published lead time, that means before the specification is issued.

What load should I allow for a floor?

Metres times 20, so 34W per fitting and twelve of them is 408W. That rule holds across every length and every Domus linear range, because they all run the same 20 watt per metre strip.

Can I use it in a damp space?

No — IP20, dry interior only. For bathrooms, covered outdoor areas, commercial kitchens or unsealed bays, ask us about the Domus IMPACT range at IP66 and IK10.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
