Why do two finishes have the same product code?

It is a fault in the record. "Frosted" and "Black" both resolve to SKU 30191, and 30192 — the code the sequence requires — is absent. Two options sharing one code are indistinguishable at order and inventory level, so an order for a frosted diffuser and one for a black diffuser are the same line. We measured the range rather than reacting to one listing: 49 of the 53 Maxi 40 listings run their four variant SKUs consecutively with no repeats, and seven Domus products carry the same fault.

Would I notice if the wrong one arrived?

Yes, and that is the one mercy here. Frosted and black are the two least alike finishes in the range — frosted scatters evenly for a soft line, while black is a tinted diffuser that reads dark unlit and passes less light. So a wrong delivery would be obvious rather than surviving unnoticed. Elsewhere in the range the same fault pairs finishes that are hard to tell apart, which is worse. How much light does it give?

3060 lumens at 1800 lumens per metre, or 90 lumens per watt from 34W, at 3000K and CRI90. The 4000K version of the same fitting publishes 3400 lumens for the same power — about 11% more if output matters more than warmth in your space.

Is CRI90 unusual?

It is high for a linear pendant of this kind, above the CRI 80 or better that the Domus MAX-50 profile range publishes and above what most commercial linear lighting settles for. It matters wherever colour is judged — food, merchandise, materials, skin tone — and at 3000K it means warm light that still renders honestly.

Will 1.7m suit my table?

It suits about 2.5m of surface — roughly two-thirds the length, which lights evenly without overhanging the ends. The 1.2m suits about 1.8m and the 2.4m about 3.6m. All three run the same strip at 20 watts per metre and the same lumens per watt, so the choice is about the space rather than efficiency.

What suspension is supplied?

A 3m drop, which is generous and shortened on site, so a standard ceiling through to about a 4m volume is workable from the same fitting. The suspension-point spacing and the weight are not published, and those are the two an installer needs before the ceiling closes — ask us for both.

Can I use it in a damp space?

No — IP20, dry interior only. For bathrooms, covered outdoor areas, commercial kitchens or unsealed bays, ask us about the Domus IMPACT range at IP66 and IK10.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Cancellations
