⭐ An extruded aluminium body is the heat path for the LED strip. ⭐ The extrusion is the heatsink — ⭐ which is why these fittings are built from it rather than from plastic, and ⚠ why the body should not be boxed in or insulated against. ⭐ Suspended below the ceiling, it has all the air it needs.
1.2 m suspended LED linear pendant. 2160 lm, 24 W, 3000 K, CRI90. 120° down-only. IP20. 1200 mm. 3 m drop. PLEX-COB-20W strip, integral dimmable driver, DALI and emergency on request. Extruded aluminium body powder-coated white, high diffuser. 3-year replacement warranty. Order code MAXI-40-1.2M-HD-W-3K. SKUs 30170–30173. 240 V. ⛔ IT IS ALUMINIUM, BUT A MATERIAL FILTER WILL NOT FIND IT — only 24 of the 71 listings across the Domus linear ranges record a material, and they are exactly the 24 whose TITLE contains the word. ⭐ Measured identically in two independently catalogued ranges, so it is a house convention rather than a slip. ⭐ Ask us rather than filtering.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
An extruded aluminium body, powder-coated white. Every Maxi 40, Maxi 50 and Maxi Curve is the same extrusion — the white and black ones are simply coated — and Domus's own specification confirms the material on the listings that state it.
Because the field tracks the colour word in the title rather than the product. Only 24 of the 71 listings across those ranges record a material value, and they are exactly the 24 whose title contains the word "Aluminium" — all 47 black and white listings record nothing. So a buyer filtering on aluminium sees 24 of 71 identical bodies, and this listing, which is aluminium, is not among them.
A pattern, and we measured it rather than assuming. The behaviour is identical across two independently catalogued ranges — the Maxi 40 at 18 of 18 titled listings and 0 of 35 others, the Maxi 50 at 6 of 6 and 0 of 12 — which makes it a house convention rather than one range's data-entry slip. If the material matters to your specification, ask us rather than filtering; we can tell you what every listing in both ranges is actually made of.
Yes — it is the heat path for the LED strip. The extrusion is the heatsink, which is why these fittings are built from it rather than from plastic, and why the body should not be boxed in or insulated against. Suspended below the ceiling it has all the air it needs, so in normal use this is not something you have to design around.
2160 lumens at 1800 lumens per metre, or 90 lumens per watt from 24W, at 3000K and CRI90. The 4000K version of the same fitting gives 2400 lumens for the same power, which is about 11% more if output matters more than warmth in your space.
It is high for a linear pendant of this kind and above the CRI 80 or better that the Domus MAX-50 profile range publishes. It matters wherever colour is judged — food, merchandise, materials, skin tone — and at 3000K it means warm light that still renders honestly.
No — IP20, dry interior only. That rules out bathrooms, covered outdoor areas, commercial kitchens and unsealed bays. For those, ask us about the Domus IMPACT range at IP66 and IK10.
