The Domus Maxi 40 is a 1.2 m suspended LED linear pendant — 24 W, 2400 lm, 4000 K at CRI90, dimmable, in a black body with a high diffuser.
Domus asks you to call and confirm it. ⭐ We will.
| Specification | Value |
|---|---|
| Beam | ⭐ 120°, down only |
| Light output | 2400 lm — 2000 lm/m, 100 lm/W |
| Colour rendering | ⭐ CRI90 at 4000 K |
| Power / length | 24 W at 240 V · 1200 mm |
| IP rating | IP20 — ⚠ dry interior only |
| Suspension | 3 m drop supplied |
| Dimming | ⭐ DALI and emergency on request |
| Warranty | ⭐ 3 years, replacement |
| ⛔ Lifespan | ⛔ Not published |
⭐ The 120° figure is recorded identically across the flat, high and low diffusers, and ⭐ so is the lumen output — ⭐ which is consistent, and means the diffuser type is not changing the distribution in any way Domus publishes.
1.2 m suspended LED linear pendant. 2400 lm, 24 W, 4000 K, CRI90. 120° beam, down only. IP20. 1200 mm. 3 m drop. PLEX-COB-20W strip, integral dimmable driver, DALI and emergency on request. Black body, high diffuser. 3-year replacement warranty. Order code MAXI-40-1.2M-HD-B-4K. SKUs 30180–30183. 240 V. ⭐ 120° IS A WIDE BEAM — light spreads to roughly 3.5× the mounting height, so a pendant 1 m above a bench throws a pool about 3.5 m across. ⭐ For an even row, space them at roughly the mounting height up to about 1.5× it; 2 m centres at 1 m mounting will scallop. ⚠ Down only means the ceiling stays dark — the intent under exposed structure, worth checking in a low white-ceilinged room.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
It is a wide beam — a general wash rather than an accent. The light spreads to roughly 3.5 times the mounting height in width, so a pendant 1m above a bench throws a pool about 3.5m across. That width is why these work in a row rather than only over discrete tables: a narrow-beam fitting at the same spacing would leave dark bands between the pools.
To keep the light even between fittings, space them at roughly the mounting height above the working plane, up to about 1.5 times it. So at 1m above a bench, fittings on 1 to 1.5m centres give a continuous level, while 2m centres will scallop. Those are planning proportions rather than a lighting design — but with 2400 lumens and a 120 degree beam both published, a real calculation is now possible. Tell us the room and we will do it.
All 2400 lumens go downward and none is thrown up onto the ceiling. That is efficient — every lumen lands where the work is — and it makes the ceiling read darker than an up-down fitting would. Against a black or exposed ceiling that is exactly the intent. Against white plasterboard in a low room, an all-downward fitting can make the space feel more enclosed, which is worth knowing before you specify a row into a domestic-scale interior.
Not in any way Domus publishes. The 120 degree figure is recorded identically across the flat, high and low diffusers, and so is the lumen output. That consistency is worth noting: whatever the diffuser type changes, neither the total output nor the published beam angle is affected by it.
2400 lumens at 2000 lumens per metre, or 100 lumens per watt from 24W — that is the 4000K figure. The 3000K version of the same fitting gives 2160 lumens. Combined with the beam angle, that is enough to plan a row properly rather than guess at it.
It is the exposed-services and studio combination — a black body joins bare or dark structure instead of fighting it, and 4000K keeps the space reading as a workplace rather than a bar. Against white plasterboard the same fitting becomes a deliberate graphic statement instead.
No — IP20, dry interior only. For bathrooms, covered outdoor areas, commercial kitchens or unsealed bays, ask us about the Domus IMPACT range at IP66 and IK10.

| ⭐ Beam | ⭐ 120°, DOWN ONLY |
| ⭐ What 120° spreads to | ≈3.5× the mounting height — ⭐ a 3.5m pool from 1m above a bench |
| ⭐ SPACING RULE for a row | Roughly the mounting height, up to ≈1.5× it |
| ⭐ So at 1m mounting | 1–1.5m centres are even — ⚠ 2m centres will scallop |
| ⭐ Why a wide beam matters | A narrow-beam fitting at the same spacing leaves dark bands |
| ⚠ "Down only" means | The ceiling stays dark — ⭐ the intent under exposed structure |
| ⚠ In a low white room | All-downward can feel enclosed — ⭐ worth checking first |
| ✅ Light output | 2400lm — 2000 lm/m, 100 lm/W |
| ⭐ Consistency note | Beam AND output are identical across flat, high and low |
| ✅ CRI / warranty | ⭐ CRI90 · 3 years replacement |
| ⚠ IP rating | IP20 — dry interior only |
| Mounting above the bench | Pool width | Even-row spacing |
|---|---|---|
| 0.8m | ≈2.8m | 0.8–1.2m centres |
| ⭐ 1.0m | ≈3.5m | ⭐ 1.0–1.5m centres |
| 1.5m | ≈5.2m | 1.5–2.2m centres |
| ⚠ 2m centres at 1m mounting | — | ⛔ Will scallop |
