The Domus Maxi 40 is a 1.2 m suspended LED linear pendant — 24 W, 2400 lm, 4000 K at CRI90, dimmable, in a black body with a flat diffuser.
Domus asks you to call and confirm it. ⭐ We will.
IP20 — dry interior only. ⚠ Converted warehouses often have an unsealed roof, a roller door or a dusty bay at one end, ⭐ and none of those suits this fitting. ⭐ The finished, sealed parts are its home. ⭐ For the rest, the Domus IMPACT range is IP66 and IK10.
| Specification | Value |
|---|---|
| Light output | ⭐ 2400 lm — 2000 lm/m, 100 lm/W |
| Colour rendering | ⭐ CRI90 at 4000 K |
| Power / length | 24 W at 240 V · 1200 mm |
| Beam | 120°, down only — ⚠ no uplight onto the structure |
| IP rating | IP20 — ⚠ dry interior only |
| Suspension | 3 m drop supplied |
| Dimming | ⭐ DALI and emergency on request |
| Warranty | ⭐ 3 years, replacement |
| ⛔ Lifespan | ⛔ Not published |
⭐ There is no uplight component, ⭐ so the structure above stays dark. ⭐ In an exposed-services fitout that is usually the intent — the services recede and the working plane is lit. ⚠ But if you wanted the ceiling volume read as part of the space, ⭐ this fitting will not do it and you would need separate uplighting.
1.2 m suspended LED linear pendant. 2400 lm, 24 W (100 lm/W), 4000 K, CRI90. 120° down-only. IP20. 1200 mm. 3 m drop. PLEX-COB-20W strip, integral dimmable driver, DALI and emergency on request. Black body, flat diffuser. 3-year replacement warranty. Order code MAXI-40-1.2M-FD-B-4K. SKUs 30150–30153. 240 V. ⭐ EXPOSED-SERVICES CEILINGS ARE TALL, AND OUTPUT STOPS BEING A DETAIL THERE — light falls off with the square of the distance, so a pendant at 3 m gives roughly a quarter of what it gives at 1.5 m. ⭐ 2400 lm at 100 lm/W is what makes the higher mounting workable, and 4000 K buys about 11% more than 3000 K for the same watts. ⚠ Down only — the structure above stays dark.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Because those ceilings are tall and light falls off with the square of the distance — a pendant at 3m above a bench delivers roughly a quarter of what the same fitting gives at 1.5m. So a figure that is generous over a domestic island can be thin over a warehouse bench. 2400 lumens at 100 lumens per watt is what makes the higher mounting workable here, and choosing 4000K over 3000K buys about 11% more light for the same 24W.
The 3m suspension drop supplied covers ceilings up to about 4m at a sensible working height, so most converted warehouses and warehouse offices are workable from the standard fitting with the cable shortened on site. Above that you run out, and whether Domus supplies a longer drop is not published — ask us before specifying into a taller volume.
No — the beam is 120 degrees, down only, so there is no uplight component and the structure above stays dark. In an exposed-services fitout that is usually the intent: the services recede and the working plane is lit. But if you wanted the ceiling volume read as part of the space, this fitting will not do it and you would need separate uplighting.
In the finished, sealed parts, yes. Where it becomes a problem is an unsealed roof, a roller door or a dusty bay at one end — it is IP20, dry interior only, and IP2x is not dust-protected either. Those are common features of exactly this kind of building, so it is worth checking rather than assuming. For those areas, ask us about the Domus IMPACT range at IP66 and IK10.
Because against bare or dark structure a black body joins the ducts and conduit instead of fighting them, where a white pendant is the loudest object in the room. It is a deliberate choice about whether the fitting reads as part of the ceiling or as an object hung below it.
Two reasons here. It keeps the space reading as a workplace — 3000K against black structure reads as a bar, which is right for a bar and wrong for a studio. And it publishes 2400lm against 3000K's 2160lm for the same 24W, which is about 11% more light in a space where the mounting height is already working against you.
Three years, replacement type — the right cover for an integrated LED with no serviceable lamp. The rated lifespan is not published for this range, which is the one gap in an otherwise complete specification. Ask us if you need it for a maintenance schedule.

| ⭐ Why output matters here | Exposed-services ceilings are TALL — ⭐ light falls off with the SQUARE of distance |
| ⭐ The arithmetic | A pendant at 3m gives ≈¼ of what it gives at 1.5m |
| ⭐ 4000K over 3000K | ≈11% more light for the same 24W — ⭐ worth having in a tall volume |
| ✅ Suspension | 3m drop — ⭐ covers ceilings to about 4m |

| ⭐ If you want the ceiling lit | This will not do it — ⭐ you need separate uplighting |

| Mounting height above the bench | Relative light on the surface |
|---|---|
| 1.5m | ⭐ Full |
| 2.1m | ≈half |
| 3.0m | ⚠ ≈a quarter |
| ⭐ Which is why | 2400lm and 4000K are the right choices here |
