The Domus Maxi 40 is a 1.2 m suspended LED linear pendant — 24 W, 2400 lm, 4000 K at CRI90, dimmable, in an aluminium body with a high diffuser.
Domus asks you to call and confirm it. ⭐ We will.

| Consulting rooms | ⭐ Skin tone reads accurately |
| Galleries and display | ⭐ Artwork is not shifted |

1.2 m suspended LED linear pendant. 2400 lm, 24 W (100 lm/W), 4000 K, CRI90. 120° down-only. IP20. 1200 mm. 3 m drop. PLEX-COB-20W strip, integral dimmable driver, DALI and emergency on request. Aluminium body, high diffuser. 3-year replacement warranty. Order code MAXI-40-1.2M-HD-A-4K. SKUs 30175–30178. 240 V. ⭐ CRI90 IS THE REASON TO CHOOSE THIS OVER A GENERIC LINEAR PENDANT — the Domus MAX-50 profile range publishes CRI ≥80, and most commercial linear lighting settles there. ⭐ At CRI90 fabric, food, skin tone and finishes read correctly. ⚠ Higher-CRI phosphors cost a little efficiency, so 100 lm/W is doing well for the colour quality.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
CRI measures how faithfully a light source renders colour against a reference. CRI90 means colours look close to how they would under natural light. CRI80, which is what most commercial linear lighting publishes, is noticeably less faithful — reds in particular go flat and muddy. The difference is easy to see side by side and hard to name when you only have one of them in front of you.
Retail, where fabric, timber and packaging look like themselves rather than looking cheap. Kitchens, where meat, vegetables and fruit read correctly for freshness. Studios and design benches, where colour matching has to be trustworthy. Consulting rooms, where skin tone matters. Galleries and display. In a general office CRI80 would be adequate, so there this fitting is better than it needs to be.
Favourably. The Domus MAX-50 profile range — a separate, better-documented family — publishes CRI 80 or better. This publishes CRI90. So within the same supplier's catalogue, the Maxi 40 is the better colour performer, which is not what you would guess from the relative depth of their documentation.
A little efficiency. Higher-CRI phosphors are usually somewhat less efficient, so a CRI80 fitting of the same wattage would typically out-lumen this one. At 100 lumens per watt this is doing well for its colour quality — the trade has been made sensibly rather than avoided.
2400 lumens at 2000 lumens per metre, from 24W — that is the 4000K figure. The 3000K version of the same fitting gives 2160 lumens, so choosing 4000K is worth about 11% more light for the same power, on top of being the right colour for most of the spaces where CRI90 matters.
No — IP20, dry interior only. That rules out bathrooms, covered outdoor areas, washdown spaces and unsealed bays. It is a published figure, so you can design around it. For those positions, ask us about the Domus IMPACT range at IP66 and IK10.
Three years, replacement type. On an integrated LED that is the right form of cover, since there is no serviceable lamp and a failure means a new fitting. The rated lifespan is not published for this range, so ask us if you need it for a maintenance schedule.
