The Domus MAX-75 Surface Mounted is an aluminium profile luminaire fixed to the ceiling, sold by the metre — 17.3 W per metre from a 75 mm-wide aperture, with 3000 K, 4000 K or tunable white and DALI and 0–10 V options. 3-year warranty.
Up to 10 business days for production before it ships.
| MAX-50 Surface | MAX-75 Surface | |
|---|---|---|
| Power and output | 17.3 W/m · 2,466 lm/m | Identical |
| Aperture | 50 mm | ⭐ 75 mm |
| Surface brightness | Higher | ⭐ About a third lower |
⛔ 21 variants including DALI, 0–10 V and TUNABLE/DALI, on a listing recording
dimmable = No. ⭐ The base product is non-dimmable and control is a variant
choice; ⚠ a single yes/no field cannot say that, ⛔ so filtering on dimmable hides all 9 MAX
profile listings. ⭐ TUNABLE/DALI shifts colour temperature from the controller
— ⚠ DALI only, and in no product field.
Surface-mounted LED profile luminaire, sold per metre. 17.3 W/m. 2,466 lm/m (3000 K), 2,600 lm/m (4000 K). 3000 K, 4000 K or tunable white. Plain, DALI or 0–10 V. CRI ≥80. 120°. IP20. Profile 75 mm wide. Extruded 6063 aluminium. Flat opal-frost PMMA diffuser. Osram LED boards. 50,000 hrs. ✅ 3-year warranty. ⛔ Made to order — allow up to 10 business days. ⛔ Its sheet says 75 × 75mm and its record says 95mm high — ⭐ on a SURFACE fitting that is a visual question, not a fit one, but a 95mm line below a ceiling is a hand's width of aluminium in view. Ask us if visual weight matters. ⭐ Same output as the MAX-50 from a 50% wider aperture: the low-glare choice.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Not for fit — on a surface fitting nothing has to be cut and nothing will fail to go in, which is very different from the recessed sibling where the same 20mm can stop a job. But it does change how it reads. Picture it: a 95mm-deep line hanging below a 2.4m ceiling is close to a hand's width of aluminium in view, which is an architectural element rather than a discreet one. If visual weight matters — a low ceiling, a small room, a run at the edge of a sight line — ask us to confirm the section before committing. If it does not, order with confidence.
No — same 17.3W per metre and same 2,466 lumens per metre. The difference is the aperture: 75mm against 50mm, so the same light spreads over 50% more emitting area and the surface brightness is about a third lower. Nothing in the catalogue says so, and the wider profile is easily assumed to be the brighter one. Surface mounted this matters more rather than less, because a surface fitting is closer to the eye than a recessed one by its whole depth.
Whenever the depth is not available above the ceiling line — concrete soffits, shallow voids, direct-fixed linings, finished ceilings. It is also the retrofit answer, going into a completed building without opening anything. And it is easier to live with: retro-fitting DALI means replacing the luminaire either way, but a surface profile comes down without a plasterer.
On the DALI or 0–10V variants, yes. The listing records dimmable as No because a single yes/no field cannot express a variant axis — nine MAX profile listings are in the same position, so filtering a catalogue on dimmable hides all of them. TUNABLE/DALI also exists, shifting colour temperature from the control system, and it appears in no product field at all. Choose the control before the finish.
17.3W per metre — and this listing records it correctly, matching its datasheet. Worth noting because the MAX-50 recessed listing records 21W, which disagrees with its own sheet and with every sibling in the range. Over a 10-metre run 17.3W per metre is 173W, and that is the figure to size a circuit or driver on.
Because a wider aperture gives board-to-board colour variation more diffuser to show on. Banding along a linear run is the commonest visible fault in this kind of lighting, and a 75mm-wide opal face displays it more readily than a 50mm one. A specified light engine makes that less likely, and makes a replacement board years later more likely to match.
Not as a variant, but the datasheet lists integrated emergency and high-output LED boards as available on request. Raise it at quotation stage — on a continuous surface line, adding a separate emergency fitting later breaks the line visually, which rather defeats the point of specifying a continuous profile.
