The Domus MAX-50 Surface Mounted is an aluminium profile luminaire fixed to the ceiling, sold by the metre — 17.3 W per metre, Osram LED boards, 3000 K, 4000 K or tunable white, with DALI and 0–10 V options. 3-year warranty.
Up to 10 business days for production before it ships — ⭐ which is what lets it be cut to your run.
lumens = 2466lm | 2600lm. ⛔ Its eight MAX
siblings leave that figure to the datasheet.
dimmable = No.
Surface-mounted LED profile luminaire, sold per metre. 17.3 W/m. 2,466 lm/m (3000 K), 2,600 lm/m (4000 K). 3000 K, 4000 K or tunable white. Plain, DALI or 0–10 V. CRI ≥80. 120°. IP20. Profile 50 × 75 mm, extruded 6063 aluminium. Flat opal-frost PMMA diffuser. Osram LED boards. 50,000 hrs. ✅ 3-year warranty. ⛔ Made to order — allow up to 10 business days. ⭐ It is the answer whenever the recessed version fails on ceiling depth — same output, same variants, below the ceiling. ✅ The ONLY MAX listing recording its lumen output in a field. ⚠ Its power field rounds 17.3W to 17W — 3W over a 10-metre run. ⛔ Recorded as not dimmable while selling DALI, 0-10V and tunable variants.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Whenever the ceiling depth is not there — the recessed MAX-50 needs 75mm above the ceiling line, and very often it is not available: a shallow batten void, a concrete soffit with a direct-fixed lining, a run crossing a duct or beam. This version does the same job below the ceiling with the same 17.3W per metre, the same 2,466 lumens per metre and the same 21 variants. So the choice is a ceiling question, not a lighting one. It also fixes to a concrete soffit directly, which a recessed profile cannot do at all.
The flush line. A surface profile reads as an applied object; a recessed one reads as part of the ceiling. On a considered architectural ceiling that difference is the whole point, and in a corridor or plant room it is immaterial. Worth picturing the scale: a 75mm-deep line across a 2.4m ceiling is a visible architectural element rather than a discreet one, so it wants to be deliberate — aligned with something, or running the full length.
2,466 lumens per metre at 3000K and 2,600 at 4000K, which works out at about 150 lumens per watt — high, where most fittings in this catalogue sit between 60 and 100. Worth noting that this is the only MAX listing that records its lumen output in a product field rather than leaving it to the datasheet. That is genuinely useful: output per metre is the figure a lighting calculation runs on, and a designer working from records rather than PDFs can use this one and cannot use its eight siblings.
17.3W — the datasheet figure, and the one every other MAX-50 sheet gives. This listing's power field rounds it to 17W, which is trivial on a single metre but 3W over a 10-metre run. Use 17.3W per metre for circuit and driver calculations. Worth knowing that the recessed MAX-50 listing records 21W, which is a much larger discrepancy and disagrees with its own datasheet.
On the DALI or 0–10V variants, yes. The listing records dimmable as No because a single yes/no field cannot express a variant axis — nine MAX profile listings are in the same position, so filtering a catalogue on dimmable hides all of them. On a surface run this is at least recoverable: retro-fitting DALI still means replacing the luminaire, but a surface profile can be taken down without opening a ceiling, which is a real advantage over the recessed version.
Colour temperature shifted from the control system rather than fixed at 3000K or 4000K for the life of the fitting — warm in the evening, neutral during the day. It is DALI only, so a 0–10V system cannot have it, and it appears in no product field at all. On a surface-mounted run it is easier to change your mind later than on a recessed one, but it is still a luminaire replacement rather than a module swap.
Not as a variant, but the datasheet lists integrated emergency and high-output LED boards as available on request. Raise it at quotation stage — on a continuous surface line, adding a separate emergency fitting later breaks the line visually, which rather defeats the point of specifying a continuous profile in the first place.
