The Domus MAX-50 Recessed is an aluminium profile luminaire recessed into a ceiling, sold by the metre — 17.3 W per metre, Osram LED boards, 3000 K, 4000 K or tunable white, with DALI and 0–10 V options. 3-year warranty.
Up to 10 business days for production before it ships — ⭐ which is what lets it be cut to your run.

dimmable = No.
Recessed LED profile luminaire, sold per metre. 17.3 W/m. 2,466 lm/m (3000 K), 2,600 lm/m (4000 K). 3000 K, 4000 K or tunable white. Plain, DALI or 0–10 V. CRI ≥80. 120°. IP20. Profile 50 × 75 mm, extruded 6063 aluminium. Flat opal-frost PMMA diffuser. Osram LED boards. 50,000 hrs. ✅ 3-year warranty. ⛔ Made to order — allow up to 10 business days. ⚠ YOU NEED 75mm OF DEPTH ABOVE THE CEILING — check the void before specifying. ⛔ Its record says 21W/m where its own datasheet and five siblings say 17.3 — we have published 17.3. ⭐ Choose DALI or 0-10V before the ceiling closes: retro-fitting means replacing a recessed luminaire.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
75mm above the ceiling line, and it is the figure to check before any other decision — the profile is 50mm wide and 75mm high, and all the height sits in the void. Where it commonly fails is a plasterboard ceiling with a shallow batten void, a concrete soffit with a direct-fixed lining, or a run crossing a duct or beam. A 75mm profile in a 60mm void is not a compromise, it is a different product. If the depth is not there, the MAX-50 Surface Mounted version does the same job below the ceiling with the same output and the same variants.
17.3W. This listing's record says 21W, which is about 21% high, and it disagrees with its own datasheet and with every sibling in the range — the Down Pendant and Surface Mounted records both say 17W. The sheet and five siblings outvote one field, so we have published 17.3. It matters on a long run: over 10 metres that is 173W against 210W, enough to change a circuit or a driver. Ask us to confirm with Domus before a large order.
On the DALI or 0–10V variants, yes. The listing records dimmable as No because a single yes/no field cannot express a variant axis — nine MAX profile listings are in the same position, which means filtering a catalogue on dimmable hides all of them. On a recessed run this matters more than usual: retro-fitting DALI means replacing the luminaire, and a recessed luminaire is in the ceiling. Choose the control before the plasterer arrives.
Colour temperature shifted from the control system rather than fixed at 3000K or 4000K for the life of the installation — warm in the evening, neutral during the day. It is DALI only, so a 0–10V system cannot have it, and it appears in no product field at all. On a recessed run, where changing your mind later means opening the ceiling, it is worth considering at specification stage rather than after.
Yes — a 120° beam from a recessed line washes the floor and walls broadly rather than accenting, which is exactly what a corridor or open office wants. What it will not do is pick things out: for a display run or anywhere you want contrast, this is the wrong distribution, and you would want a narrower optic or a different product. Tell us the space and we will say whether the wash suits it.
About 150 lumens per watt — 17.3W per metre giving 2,466 lumens at 3000K and 2,600 at 4000K. That is high; most fittings in this catalogue sit between 60 and 100. The named Osram LED boards are part of why, and on a long recessed run a specified engine also reduces the risk of board-to-board colour variation showing as banding along the diffuser, which is the commonest visible fault in linear lighting.
Not as a variant, but the datasheet lists integrated emergency and high-output LED boards as available on request. On a recessed run this is the option to settle before the ceiling closes — retrofitting emergency afterwards means either opening the ceiling again or installing a separate emergency fitting alongside, neither of which is cheap or discreet. Raise it at quotation stage.
