The Domus LUMALINE-2-600 is a 600 mm up-and-down wall light in an anodised aluminium profile with an opal PMMA diffuser, drawing 23 W and throwing roughly 800–900 lm each way.

⚠ This is an interior fitting. It is rated IP20, and the manufacturer's own description says it is “for any interior space”.

We are saying so plainly because the two LUMALINE listings in this catalogue disagree with each other. This 600 mm version is filed under aluminium profiles; the 900 mm version is filed under outdoor up/down wall lights — and both are IP20. Neither belongs outside. Do not specify either one on an exposed wall, an alfresco, or anywhere it can be rained on.

What an up-and-down profile does that a wall light does not
  • Two soft washes instead of one glare source. Light leaves the top and the bottom of the profile and grazes the wall, so what you see is the lit wall, not the fitting.
  • The LED strip is concealed. The opal diffuser hides the individual diodes, so the line reads as continuous rather than dotted.
  • No visible fixings. Domus designed the mounting so no screws show on the face — which is the difference between a detail and a bracket.
  • ⚠ It is indirect light. Two of these will make a hallway or a stairwell look considered; they will not light it for reading.
Choosing the colour temperature — and why you only get one chance

⛔ This fitting does not switch colour. The colour temperature is fixed at the point of order: there is a separate part number for 3000 K, 4000 K and 5000 K in each of the three finishes.

⚠ Our record carries a colour-changing flag on this product. It is wrong, and we are saying so rather than leaving it to be discovered after installation. Nine variants, one colour each.

  • 3000 K — 793 lm each way. Hallways, stairwells, living areas, bedrooms. The default for a fitting whose whole job is atmosphere.
  • 4000 K — 885 lm each way. Commercial corridors, lobbies.
  • 5000 K — 898 lm each way. The brightest, and the coldest. Rarely right for an indirect wall wash in a home.
⛔ It is not dimmable

The datasheet is explicit. There is no dimmable driver option listed and no dimming protocol.

⚠ That is worth knowing before it goes on a stairwell or in a bedroom hallway, which are exactly the places people later want to turn down. If the level needs to change, the answer is a separate circuit or a different fitting — not a dimmer on this one.

Three finishes — anodised aluminium, black, white — each in three colour temperatures, giving nine part numbers. 110° beam, CRI ≥80, 50,000 hours, 240 V AC.

Can it go outside?

No. It is IP20 and the manufacturer describes it as being for any interior space. We are answering this bluntly because the two LUMALINE listings in this catalogue are filed in different categories — this one under aluminium profiles, the 900 mm version under outdoor up/down wall lights — and both are IP20. Neither belongs on an exposed wall.

Does it switch colour temperature?

No, and our own record is wrong about this. The colour temperature is fixed at the point of order: there is a separate part number for 3000 K, 4000 K and 5000 K in each of the three finishes — nine variants, one colour each. Choose before you order, because it cannot be changed afterwards.

Can I dim it?

No. The datasheet is explicit and there is no dimmable driver option. That matters most in the places this fitting suits best — stairwells and bedroom hallways — where people often want to turn the level down later. If you need that, the answer is a separate circuit or a different fitting.

Is it bright enough to light a hallway on its own?

It depends what you want from the hallway. It throws roughly 800–900 lumens each way as an indirect wash up and down the wall, which makes a hallway or stairwell look considered and lets you move through it safely. It will not light it for reading, and it is not designed to.

Which colour temperature should I pick?

3000 K for hallways, stairwells, living areas and bedrooms — the default for a fitting whose job is atmosphere. 4000 K for commercial corridors and lobbies. 5000 K is the brightest at 898 lumens each way but also the coldest, and it is rarely right for an indirect wash in a home.

Will I see the individual LEDs?

No. The LED strip sits behind an opal PMMA diffuser, so the line reads as continuous rather than dotted. Domus also designed the mounting so no fixing screws show on the face.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
