Domus LRF-G95 Retro Vintage Filament Globe

The Domus LRF-G95 is a 3.5 W retro filament globe in the G95 spherical shape — 1800 K amber, 120 lumens, Ø95 mm, dimmable, in E27 or B22.

✅ 1800 K — and what that actually looks like

Every other globe in this catalogue offers 2700 K as its warmest setting. 1800 K is a whole step warmer again, and the difference is not subtle:

• 2700 K is the colour of an old incandescent globe — warm white.
• 1800 K is amber — the colour of a candle flame, or of a carbon-filament lamp from a century ago. It reads distinctly orange-gold, not white.

✅ On brass, copper, aged timber and dark interiors it is exactly right. In a bar, a restaurant or a snug it does something no 2700 K globe can.

⚠ In a white or grey room it will look wrong — the amber cast fights cool surfaces, and against white paint it can read as dirty rather than warm.

How to use 120 lumens well

• In multiples. A row of six over a bar is a line of amber points, which is the effect these are made for. One on its own in a large room does almost nothing.
• Where it is seen, not where it works. Open cages, clear pendants, exposed batten holders — the globe is the object.
• Alongside real light. Downlights or a lamp do the seeing; these do the atmosphere. ⚠ Do not expect a room lit by these alone to be usable.
• ✅ They are comfortable to look straight at, which almost no other filament globe is. At 120 lm you can hang them at eye level over a table without anyone squinting.

Dimming, and why it matters more here

Fully dimmable with a suitable dimmer. On a 1800 K globe, dimming pushes the colour further into amber still — and dimmed to 30% these are about as close to candlelight as electric light gets.

⚠ Dimmable LED globes are fussy about dimmers, and a very low-wattage globe is fussier than most: 3.5 W may fall below the minimum load some dimmers need to work smoothly. Tell us your dimmer and how many globes are on the circuit and we will confirm the pairing — flicker at the bottom of the range is the usual sign of a mismatch.
